A power conversion system is capable of distinguishing easily and clearly between being interconnected to the power system and being in an isolated operation. The power conversion system converts DC power to AC power to interconnect with a power system and injects reactive power into a grid node for determining an isolated operation, including: a voltage detector that detects an output voltage at the grid node; a current detector that detects an output current at the grid node; a frequency measurement unit that measures a frequency of the output voltage at the grid node; a reactive-power measurement unit that measures reactive power at the grid node; and an isolated-operation determination unit that determines whether or not the power conversion system is in an isolated operation as disconnected from the power system. The isolated-operation determination unit includes a reactive-power-fluctuation determination unit that performs a first isolated-operation determination from the reactive power.

Power conversion system and method for detecting isolated operation of the same

An ultrasound endoscope, having a cable for connecting the ultrasound endoscope to a driving apparatus, includes an insertion section insertable into a subject, a plurality of transducers provided at a distal end portion, an electrode formed in each of the transducers, a wiring section connected to the electrode to electrically connect the electrode and the cable, and matching circuits, at least one of which is provided at an end of or partway in each of the wiring section. The electrode, the wiring section, and the matching circuits are provided in each of the plurality of transducers. The cable includes a core wire and an insulating layer enwrapping the core wire and functions as a matching section that matches electric impedance of each of the transducers between the plurality of transducers and the driving apparatus by varying a thickness or quality of material of the insulating layer.

Ultrasound endoscope

An optical transmitter includes three or more emission optical fibers that are three-dimensionally arranged, a single reception optical fiber, and an optical path converting component to optically couple the emission optical fibers to the reception optical fiber. The optical path converting component includes optical transmission portions that are optically coupled to the three or more emission optical fibers one to one, respectively, and optically coupled commonly to the single reception optical fiber. Entry ends of the optical transmission portions are aligned with exit ends of the three or more emission optical fibers, respectively. Exit ends of the optical transmission portions are aligned, as a whole, with an entry end of the single reception optical fiber. The exit ends of the optical transmission portions are arranged substantially parallel to one another and in closer proximity to one another than the entry ends of the optical transmission portions.

An airtight sealed package with a device sealed therein in an airtight manner under vacuum, the device being placed in a space defined in the airtight sealed package by a lid and a substrate, includes at least one pressure adjustment unit provided on at least one of the lid and the substrate, and configured to receive energy from an outside of the airtight sealed package, with the device sealed in the airtight manner in the airtight sealed package, to adjust pressure in the space. An energy transmission member transmits the energy to the pressure adjustment unit.

This conductor apparatus mounts through a bump a semiconductor chip having an electrode pad on a circuit board having a connection pad at a position opposite to the electrode pad. The bump comprises a first protruding electrode provided on the electrode pad, a second protruding electrode provided on the connection pad, and an electroconductive connection member which integrally covers peripheral surfaces of the first and second protruding electrodes and solid-phase-diffusion-connects these protruding electrodes.

Semiconductor apparatus and fabricating method for the same

The present invention is directed to a photoconductive switch module. The photoconductive switch module comprises a first substrate having light-emitting elements, a second substrate having photoconductive switch elements, whose number is equal to that of the light-emitting elements. The light-emitting elements face the photoconductive switch elements so that the photoconductive switch elements are turned on/off in accordance with lighting/distinction of the light-emitting elements. The photoconductive switch module further comprises a third substrate arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate. The third substrate has through holes, whose number is equal to that of the light-emitting elements. Drive light emitted from a light-emitting element is trapped within a through hole to travel to a photoconductive switch element. The first substrate and the third substrate are connected to each other by heating and pressure contacting of first metal members.
