To provide an IC tag mounting structure in which the probability is reduced that the IC tag mounted on a vehicle is replaced for repair or maintenance. The IC tag is mounted to any one of main functional components and internal components of an engine of the vehicle, air-inlet system components, brake system components, rear wheel suspension system components, and a storage box that can be locked.

IC tag mounting structure

A mounting structure for a tire pressure sensing system. The tire pressure sensing system includes a pressure sensor placed on a wheel to sense pressure of a tire which is mounted on the wheel. The wheel is a cast wheel for a vehicle including a rim portion where the tire is mounted, a hub portion provided at the center of the rim portion, and spoke portions connecting the rim portion and the hub portion. The pressure sensor is placed in a boundary portion between the rim portion and the spoke portions. Since the pressure sensor is placed in the boundary portion between the rim portion and the spoke portions, a portion protruding into the tire when replacing a tire can be reduced. Consequently, workability for tire replacement can be improved.

Mounting structure of tire pressure sensing system

A fluctuation warning unit for issuing a warning when fluctuations of the tire pressure per unit time exceed a predetermined threshold fluctuation, and a detected value warning unit for issuing a warning when a detected value of the tire pressure has fallen to a value below a predetermined threshold detected value are provided. For example, air leakage may be recognized rapidly, and abnormalities of air pressure may be recognized even when a faint air leakage occurs wherein fluctuations of the tire pressure per unit time do not exceed the predetermined threshold fluctuation.

Tire pressure detecting system

A tire air pressure detecting device has a tire air pressure detecting device on a wheel. A main transmitting device is provided at the wheel for transmitting an air pressure signal SP to a vehicle body. A main receiving device is provided at the vehicle body for receiving the air pressure signal SP. A main switch turn-on detecting device is provided on the vehicle body for detecting the turn-on of a main switch. A second control device is provided on the vehicle body for receiving the air pressure signal SP and a main switch ON signal Son. An auxiliary transmitting device on the vehicle body transmits a transmission instruction signal SR to the wheel when the second control means receives the main switch ON signal Son. An auxiliary receiving device on the wheel receives the transmission instruction signal SR. A first control device is provided for reading a new air pressure signal SP. When the main switch is turned on, the state of the tire air pressure can immediately be recognized. The main transmitting means is not required to transmit the air pressure signal at all times or increase the frequency with which to transmit the air pressure signal. Thus, the consumption of the battery at the wheel can be reduced.

Tire air pressure detecting device

An end of a hollow member is connected to an air valve for introducing air into a tire. A detecting and transmitting unit for detecting an air pressure in the tire and transmitting pressure information out of the detecting and transmitting unit is connected to an opposite end of the hollow member. A detecting and transmitting unit is mounted on a hub of a wheel portion. The positioning of the detecting and transmitting unit minimizes any deviation from the dynamic balancing of the wheel. Consequently, the air pressure detecting device for a wheel can be subsequently installed on the vehicle.

Air pressure detecting device for wheel

An air pressure detection device for a wheel includes an air pressure sensor provided on the side of a tire for detecting the tire pressure. A detection and transmission unit (transmission unit) is provided for transmitting information detected by the air pressure sensor. An electric cell is provided for driving the detection and transmission unit. The air pressure sensor is located inside the tire and is integrally fitted to an air valve. The electric cell is fitted to a portion of the air valve projecting from a rim. The invention enhances the fitting property of the air pressure sensor, and enhances the convenience in exchange of the electric cell.

Air pressure detection device for wheel

A wheel includes a disk form wheel, a tire fitted to the wheel, and a tire tube contained between the wheel and the tire, and is provided with an air pressure detection device intermediately disposed between the tire tube and the wheel. A metallic line form reception antenna is inserted by molding into a front fender. Since the distance from a transmission means fitted to an air pressure sensor to the reception antenna is reduced, reception sensitivity can be enhanced. In addition, since the reception antenna can be pitched to about the size of the fender, the reception sensitivity can be enhanced. Further, since jigs for fixing the antenna are needless, a reduction in the number of component parts can be contrived, and the antenna can be fixed without spoiling the appearance.

Air pressure detection device for a wheel

An air pressure sensor fitting structure is provided for a vehicle wheel for fitting an air pressure sensor for detecting the air pressure of a tube of a vehicle wheel. The tube is provided with a pipe-shaped air valve and a tire covering the tube in the condition where the tube is fitted along a rim of a wheel. The air valve penetrates through the rim. A through-hole penetrating through a pipe of the air pressure valve is provided at a portion of the air pressure valve projecting from the rim. The air pressure sensor is fitted to the air pressure valve so as to cover the through-hole. The air pressure sensor can be fitted to a tubeless tire and a tubed tire while using the same structure.

Air pressure sensor fitting structure for vehicle wheel

An air pressure detecting device serves to detect the air pressure of a wheel of a vehicle which has a tire tube disposed in a tire, the air pressure detecting device is disposed between the tire tube and the rim of the wheel portion for detecting the air pressure of the tire. The air pressure detecting device has a pressure bearing plate held in contact with the outer surface of the tire tube, a pressure sensor for detecting a pressure of the pressure bearing plate, and a detecting and transmitting unit for detecting pressure information from the pressure sensor, converting the pressure information into an electric signal, and transmitting the electric signal as a radio wave. The pressure bearing plate, the pressure sensor, and the detecting and transmitting unit are superposed in the order named. The components including the pressure bearing plate, the pressure sensor, and the detecting and transmitting circuit can be installed without the need for a special modification of the tire tube and the rim. As a result, the cost of the air pressure detecting device can be reduced.

A rim drop section dented in a shape of a ring is provided on an inner side of a bead seat section of a rim for holding a bead section of a tire. Furthermore, a recessed section is provided on this rim drop section, and a detecting device main body of a tire air pressure detecting device is accommodated in this recessed section. When a tire is assembled on a cast wheel by utilizing a tire changer or the like, or when the tire is removed from the cast wheel, the bead sections of the tire are prevented from interfering with an air pressure sensor, and damaging of the air pressure sensor is prevented.

A steering damper system for motorcycles provided for generating an adjustable damping force for restraining the shaking of the steering system at the time of disturbance. The system includes a cross member laid between the front portions of the mainframes branching to the left and right from the head pipe and extending to the rear, and a steering damper mounted at the center of the cross member. A sector gear projects forward from the housing, and the teeth thereof are inserted through the opening formed on the head pipe, and are engaged with the drive gear integrally mounted around the steering stem rotatably supported within the head pipe. The resulting steering damper provides the desired adjustable damping force without adversely increasing the inertia of the steering system.

Steering damper system for vehicles

An air pressure detecting device for detecting the air pressure of a wheel of a vehicle which has a tire tube disposed in a tire. The air pressure detecting device is disposed between the tire tube and the rim of the wheel portion for detecting the air pressure of the tire. The air pressure detecting device includes an annular seat mounted in an opening defined in the tire tube. A lid member is removably fitted over the seat. A detecting and transmitting unit is integrally mounted in the lid member for detecting an air pressure in the tire tube and transmitting pressure information out of the detecting and transmitting unit. When the tire is to be replaced, the lid member is removed, and the detecting and transmitting unit is attached to a new tire for use.

Air pressure detection device for tire

A tire air pressure detecting apparatus has an tire air pressure detecting mechanism for detecting the air pressure of a tire of a motorcycle, and a second control mechanism for comparing an actual air pressure detected by the tire air pressure detecting mechanism with a stored air pressure threshold, and controlling an engine output when the actual air pressure becomes lower than said air pressure threshold. Since the air pressure detecting apparatus comprises a small number of constituent elements including the tire air pressure detecting mechanism and the second control mechanism for reducing an engine output under certain conditions, the tire air pressure detecting apparatus can easily be reduced in size and cost.
