A communication relay device receives a packet transmitted from a first communication device to a second communication device and forwards the packet to a correspondent communication relay device. The communication relay device includes: a processor and a communication processor. The processor extracts, from a request packet that requests a connection to the second communication device, a first identifier for indicating the first communication device, when the communication relay device receives the request packet from the first communication device, and generates configuration information including the first identifier. The communication processor transmits the configuration information to the correspondent communication relay device such that the correspondent communication relay device converts source information of the packet transmitted from the first communication device to the second communication device into the first identifier and forwards the packet for which the source information has been converted to the second communication device.

A communication system capable of securely preventing illegal use of addresses and enhancing confidentiality of communication. Based on an originating-side real address which is the real address of an originating-side client terminal and specific information included in a registration message, a conversion data generator generates conversion data which the local server alone can convert to a receiving-side real address which is the real address of a receiving-side client terminal, and transmits the conversion data to the originating-side client terminal. A session controller receives a first session establishment request message, obtains the receiving-side real address from the conversion data and the originating-side real address included in the first session establishment request message, and transmits a second session establishment request message to the receiving-side real address, whereby a session is established between the originating-side and receiving-side client terminals without directly using the originating-side and receiving-side real addresses uniquely assigned on the network.

An IP version storage section included in the server stores an IP version implemented in the destination terminal under the control of the server. QoS setting means sets QoS which the ATM network ought to guarantee, based on the statistical information, and QoS guarantee determining means determines based on the routing information whether or not the set QoS can be guaranteed. If it is judged that the QoS cannot be guaranteed, QoS adjusting means adjusts the QoS so that the QoS can be guaranteed. Call connection control means connects call according to the QoS which can be guaranteed.

Network interconnection apparatus for interconnecting a LAN and an ATM network using QoS adjustment

A node apparatus is provided for transmitting an ICMP data frame to a transmission source in response to an IP data frame received from the transmission source when detecting failure regarding the IP data frame. The node apparatus includes an information database storing information about necessity of generating the ICMP data frame for each attribute of the ICMP data frame corresponding to a type of the failure, an information management unit determining the necessity of generating the ICMP data frame by referring to the information database when the node apparatus detects the failure, and a processing unit generating the ICMP data frame if the information management unit determines that generation of the ICMP data frame is necessary, wherein the node apparatus transmits the ICMP data frame to the transmission source if the processing unit generates the ICMP data frame.

Method and node apparatus for filtering ICMP data frame

In a node device having a function of recognizing route information of a network, a route selector selects a connection setting route based on the dynamic route information of the network, and generates a reservation request of a predetermined optimum route unless the connection setting route is the predetermined optimum route, a route switchover reservation portion monitors whether or not the predetermined optimum route becomes available based on the route information during the communication, and makes switchover instructions toward the predetermined optimum route to a call processor. The call processor sets a connection in a selected connection setting route, and sets another connection in the predetermined optimum route by the switchover instructions.

Node device

A routing system includes a route information management unit for managing standardized network route information, an event processing unit for managing event information obtained by detecting and statistically processing events in a local node, and a routing unit for designating an optimum route for a call connection request based on the standardized network route information managed by the route information management unit and the event information managed by the event processing unit. Hence, the routing system can designate a higher-quality route than that designated only by the route information managed by the route information management unit and the convenience of the node can be improved.

Routing system and method

A call control apparatus shortens a call releasing process to effect the releasing process efficiently. The call control apparatus has a delay time determining factor managing function to manage a delay time determining factor which determines a delay time of the call releasing process for each path, a path order establishing function to establish an order of paths having successively smaller delay times based on the delay time determining factor, and a release request message transmitting function to transmit release request messages to effect the call releasing process to nodes or terminals according to the order of paths.
