An electrically powered reel for fishing is presented, which enables the operator to perform a series of sounding operations smoothly and quickly and has superior graspability and holdability as well. The electrically powered reel for fishing includes: a spool which is provided between left and right side plates and of a main body of the reel, and around which a fishing line is wound; a drive motor which is provided in the main body of the reel and rotates and drives the spool; and an operation member which adjusts a power of the drive motor. In addition, when a space between an operation portion of the operation member and an operation portion of a clutch-OFF switching member is connected by a virtual shortest straight line, each component member of the reel is arranged so as to avoid the virtual straight line.

A cell main body and a control portion are tightly stored within a case main body, which is provided with a joint connector for electrical connection to the cell main body and the control portion. A nut member is disposed to surround this joint connector, which is attached for feeding to a feed connection portion for external power source connection of an electric reel. The nut member is screwed around a ferrule portion of the feed connection portion, and the case main body is mounted on the electric reel in a state where an engaged portion of the nut member is engaged by an engagement portion of the joint connector.

The fishing line introduction portion is formed in such a manner as to have a smooth shape expanding gradually from the bail, and a tightly closed cavity portion is formed in the interior of the fishing line introduction portion.

A spinning reel for fishing includes: a cylindrical drive shaft into which a spool shaft is inserted, rotated being linked with a handle; a front and a rear bearing to rotatably support the cylindrical drive shaft, arranged in a support section formed on the front side of a reel body; and a rotor attached to the cylindrical drive shaft, the rotor having a fishing line guide section to wind a fishing line round a spool arranged at the front section of the spool shaft. At least one of the front and the rear bearing is made up of a rolling bearing, outside portions of both the front and the rear bearing are fixed to and supported by the support section of the reel body in the axial direction, an inner race of one of the front and the rear rolling bearing is fixed to and supported by the cylindrical drive shaft in the axial direction, and an inside portion of the other of the front and the rear rolling bearing is movably arranged with respect to the cylindrical drive shaft in the axial direction. The bearing can be installed without the phase difference between the outer and the inner races, and the smooth rotation of the rotor and the smooth winding operation can be ensured.

A bail mounting portion (6) of a spinning reel for fishing includes a securing projected portion (6b), and a semi-annular and hollow bail (7) includes a securing recessed portion (7c) formed in one side end portion (7a). The securing recessed portion (7c) of the bail (7) is fitted with the securing projected portion (6b) of the bail mounting portion (6) by pressure. With this structure, the bail (7) can be surely fixed to the bail mounting portion (6), and thus the function of a fishing line guide device can be maintained stably for a long time.

The spinning reel is free from the entanglement of the fishing line and is able to maintain the rotation of the rotor balanced.
