A composite sheet structure comprising (A) a nonwoven web composed of (a) continuous filaments of a synthetic resin and (B) a net-like web having intersecting points and being composed of (b) continuous net strands of a mixture consisting of at least two thermoplastic synthetic resins having different melting points, said web (A) and said web (B) being bonded to each other by heating; characterized in that (i) said web (A) has a basis weight of about 2 to about 30 g/m.sup.2, (ii) said web (B) has a basis weight of about 1 to 10 g/m.sup.2, an average net strand diameter of about 1 to about 100 microns, and an average mesh length of up to about 5 mm, and said net strands (b) are composed of at least two resins having melting points differing from each other by at least about 20.degree. C., of which a resin having the lowest melting point has a melting point at least about 20.degree. C. lower than that of said filaments (a) and is present in an amount of about 5 to about 95% by weight based on the weight of said resin mixture, (iii) the amount of said web (A) is about 30 to about 90% by weight based on the total weight of said webs (A) and (B), (iv) said composite sheet structure has a basis weight of about 10 to about 200 g/m.sup.2, and (v) said filaments (a) are partly embraced by said net strands (b) throughout the composite sheet structure.

Composite sheet structure

A permselective membrane comprising a thin permselective film of a polymeric material, said polymeric material being prepared by cross-linking a polyaddition product between a polyepoxy compound and a polyamino compound having at least two amino groups capable of reacting with epoxy groups with a polyfunctional compound selected from the group consisting of aromatic, heterocyclic and alicyclic compounds containing at least two functional groups selected from acid halide, sulfonyl halide, isocyanate and acid anhydride groups; and a process for producing the same. The permselective membrane of this invention is especially useful for desalination of saline or brackish water by reverse osmosis.

Permselective membrane

A process and composition for producing a permselective composite membrane. The process comprises dissolving a specified imidazolone ring-containing aromatic polymer in an aqueous liquid medium containing a water-miscible amine having a pKa of more than 5.0 in a concentration of at least 5% by weight, coating the polymer solution on a microporous substrate, and drying the coating to form an ultrathin film on the substrate. The permselective composite membrane obtained is especially useful as a reverse osomsis membrane.

Preparation of permselective composite membrane

An emulsion breaking material comprising a substrate and one or more organic compounds closely adhered thereto composed of (A) a hydrophobic part consisting of hydrocarbon groups having a total carbon number of 6 to 60 and (B) a hydrophilic part consisting of at least one functional group containing at least one atom selected from the group of nitrogen, sulfur, and oxygen.

A method for regenerating an oxidized photographic developer, which comprises bringing the oxidized photographic developer into contact with an adsorbent material which has affinity for the oxidation product of the developing agent or its derivatives and is substantially insoluble in the developer, and a method for regenerating an oxidized photographic developer, which comprises subjecting the oxidized developer to a contacting treatment with an adsorbent material which has affinity for the oxidation product of the developing agent or it derivatives and is substantially insoluble in the developer, and to an electrodialysis treatment using ion exchange membranes.

Method for regenerating oxidized photographic developers

A fibrous material useful for treating a waste water having a suitable amount and ratio of hydrophobic group and hydrophilic group is produced by reacting a fibrous material with sulfuric acid and/or chlorosulfonic acid, and then with alkylamines having 2 to 20 carbon atoms and optionally finally with, for example, ammonia, amines and/or hydrazines.

Fibrous material for emulsion breaker and method for manufacturing it

A polyamide composition comprising a polyamide, an inorganic filler, a compound containing an unsaturated double bond and an epoxy group in one molecule and an unsaturated organic silane. Preferably, said compound having an unsaturated double bond and an epoxy group in one molecule and said unsaturated organic silane are present in the heat-polymerized state in the composition.

An adhesive tape or drape comprising a base sheet and formed thereon a layer of a pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising as a main constituent a copolymer prepared by copolymerizing an alkyl acrylate with 2 to 6 mol% of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid and 0.002 to 0.05 mol% of a polyfunctional compound having at least 2 non-conjugated carbon-to-carbon double bonds per molecule.

An adhesive composition comprising, of the total composition of 100 parts by weight, 90-99 parts by weight on a tacky copolymer of an alkyl acrylate, the alkyl group of which contains 1 to 14 carbon atoms and the average number of which carbon atoms is 4 to 12, with a compound having a double bond and copolymerizable therewith, and 10-1 parts by weight of a hydroxyethyl cellulose.
