In a recoil starter that starts an engine, the recoil starter rotating a drive shaft of the engine using rotation force of a reel through a recoil rope wound around the reel, by the recoil rope being pulled, a ratchet claw is provided on the reel, the ratchet claw pivoting in a radial direction of the reel with rotation of the reel by the recoil rope and then engaging with a pulley provided on the drive shaft, a guide member is provided around a reel shaft, the guide member covering the ratchet claw, the reel shaft being a rotation shaft of the reel, and a rib is provided on the guide member, the rib abutting on the ratchet claw.

Recoil starter

There is provided a rope reel provided in a recoil starter including: a rope holding groove; a flange portion disposed on both sides of the rope holding groove; a through hole provided in the flange portion and configured to allow an end of the rope wound around the rope holding groove to pass through; and an arch portion provided on a side surface of the rope reel and adjacent to the through hole. The arch portion is configured such that the rope is inserted therein, and the arch portion is capable of holding the inserted rope along the side surface of the rope reel. According to the above configuration, a front end portion of the rope is prevented from interfering with a rotation member at an engine side.

Rope reel for recoil starter, and recoil

A rope reel includes first circumferential wall portion that is erectly provided so as to surround outer circumference of recoil spring. A starter case includes second circumferential wall portion that is erectly provided so as to adjoin inner circumferential face or outer circumferential face of first circumferential wall portion. The first circumferential wall portion and the second circumferential wall portion are disposed so that end edges of the first circumferential wall portion and the second circumferential wall portion overlap each other when viewed in radial direction. A plate is disposed between starter case and recoil spring inside first circumferential wall portion. Thus, it is possible to provide structure which is realized in space-saving manner to make foreign substances difficult to intrude into starting device in order to prevent deformation or damage of recoil spring, and from which the foreign substances are easily discharged even if foreign substances have intruded.

Engine starting device

Three-dimensional manufacturing method and apparatus which easily adjust individually a heating amount per unit area for each of solidified and unsolidified regions is provided. Light source and scanning unit heat with a laser beam a layer formed by a layer forming unit. In a layer forming step, a controlling unit causes the layer forming unit to form a layer of material powder. In a laser heating step, the controlling unit controls the light source and the scanning unit to alternately heat with the laser beam the solidified region obtained by fusing and solidifying the layer and the unsolidified region adjacent to the solidified region, thereby integrally fusing and solidifying the solidified region and the unsolidified region.

Three-dimensional manufacturing method and three-dimensional manufacturing apparatus

A sheet feed device includes a second detection unit which detects a state of a detection switch unit whose state is switched due to the change of state of the sheet feed device; a signal conversion unit which converts a detection signal obtained in accordance with a state of the detection switch unit into a serial signal; a communication line which connects a first detection unit of an image forming device to the second detection unit; and a signal line configured to connect the first detection unit to the signal conversion unit. When the sheet feed device is in a first state, the first detection unit receives information indicating the state detected by the second detection unit via the communication line, and thereby detects the change of state of the sheet feed device.
