When a group of (pre-processed) projection data is stored into a projection-data storage unit, a Gaussian-based expansion-data creating unit creates a group of Gaussian-based expansion data that is expanded from each of the group of projection data through linear combination based on a plurality of Gaussian functions that is stored by a Gaussian-function storage unit and has different center points. A reconstruction-image creating unit then creates a reconstruction image by using the Gaussian-based expansion-data created by the Gaussian-based expansion-data creating unit, and stores the created reconstruction image into an image storage unit.

Image reconstructing apparatus and image reconstructing method

According to one embodiment, a medical imaging diagnosis apparatus includes a top-plate, a bed, a first gantry, a second gantry and a moving assembly. The top-plate places a subject thereon. The bed supports the top-plate. The first gantry includes an X-ray generator and an X-ray detector which revolve around the top-plate. The second gantry includes a gamma ray detector which detects gamma rays emitted from the subject. The moving assembly moves, based on a first position indicative of a center position of an effective view field in the first gantry and a second position indicative of a center position of an effective view field in the second gantry, the top-plate relative to the second position.

Medical imaging diagnosis apparatus, nuclear medicine diagnosis apparatus, X-ray CT apparatus, and bed apparatus

A medical imaging apparatus includes a reconstruction unit, a ROI setting unit, and a controller. The reconstruction unit receives projection data that is based on radiation detected by a detector, divides the projection data into a plurality of subsets, and apply a reconstruction process to the subsets by successive approximation to successively generate images. The ROI setting unit sets a ROI in the images. The controller obtains a variation value indicating a change in image quality from the images, and, when the variation value reaches a predetermined value, instructs the reconstruction unit on a new subset count less than the number of the subsets to sequentially reconstruct subsets as many as the new subset count into an image. The reconstruction unit assigns a weight to the projection data based on the ROI, and divides the projection data into the subsets based on the weight.

Medical imaging apparatus

According to one embodiment, a nuclear medicine diagnosis includes a light signal generating unit, photodetection unit, measurement unit, calculation unit, and storage unit. The light signal generating unit repeatedly generates light signals. The photodetection unit repeatedly generates first output signals corresponding to intensities of the light signals, repeatedly generates second output signals corresponding to intensities of gamma rays emitted from a subject. The measurement unit repeatedly measures light signal detection times and repeatedly measures gamma ray detection times. The calculation unit calculates a difference between a target gamma ray detection time and a target light signal detection time of the light signal detection times for each of the gamma ray detection times. The target light signal detection time is measured before the target gamma ray detection time. The storage unit stores the calculated difference in association with a target second output signal of the second output signals.

Nuclear medicine diagnosis apparatus

In a nuclear medicine imaging apparatus as a medical image diagnosis apparatus according to one embodiment, a PET detector is configured to detect a gamma ray emitted from a nuclide introduced into a body of a subject. A PET image reconstruction unit is configured to reconstruct a nuclear medicine image (PET image) as a medical image from the gamma ray projection data created based on the gamma ray detected by the PET detector using successive approximation. A controller is configured to control the PET image reconstruction unit to change the parameter used in the successive approximation depending on information regarding the scanning region in the body of the subject.

Medical image diagnosis apparatus and image reconstruction method

A list of a plurality of reference images is displayed. Parameters pertaining to signal acquisition, image generation, and image display are related to each of these reference images. When the operator selects one desired reference image from the list, a signal is acquired and an image is generated and displayed in accordance with the parameters related to the selected reference image. The only operation which the operator must perform is to select a reference image visually close to a desired medical image. The apparatus automatically sets detailed signal acquisition parameters, image generation parameters, and image display parameters which the operator need not know.

A radiation computed tomography apparatus of this invention includes a couch, a top board which carries the patient and is slidably arranged on the couch, a gantry which has an opening and acquires projection data of a patient by guiding the patient carried on the top board into the opening, reconstruction section for reconstructing the tomographic image of the patient by reconstructing the projection data acquired by the gantry, and adjusting section, arranged on or near the gantry, for adjusting the photographing condition of the patient for obtaining a predetermined tomographic image of the patient.

Radiation computed tomography apparatus

A tomographic image processing apparatus includes at least an image data production device, a main memory, a compression circuit, a write circuit, a magnetic disk, a read circuit, an expansion circuit and an image processing device. The magnetic disk has at least two storage areas. The compressed image data and the non-compressed image data are made from one image data. The compressed image data has priority over the non-compressed image data in the storage operation of the magnetic disk.
