A motor control device includes: a rotation control unit that rotates a rotor of a brushless motor by supplying a power thereto; a rotation direction determining unit that determines a rotation direction of the rotor accompanying the power supplied to the brushless motor by the rotation control unit; and a magnetic pole distinguishing unit that distinguishes magnetic poles of the rotor based on an orientation of a current flowing through each of coils due to the power supplied to the brushless motor by the rotation control unit and the rotation direction of the rotor determined by the rotation direction determining unit.

Motor control device

A current command value deriving unit of a motor control device derives a d-axis current command value and a q-axis current command value based on a torque current map and a torque command value. A voltage command value deriving unit executes a first process of deriving a d-axis voltage command value based on the d-axis current command value and deriving a q-axis voltage command value based on q-axis current command value, and a second process of deriving the d-axis voltage command value based on the q-axis current command value and deriving the q-axis voltage command value based on a limit voltage and the d-axis voltage command value. When a motor is driven by field-weakening control, the voltage command value deriving unit switches from the second process to the first process when it is determined that the voltage command value satisfying the torque command value is derivable by the first process.

A motor control device includes an acquisition unit that obtains a q-axis current component of a current vector generated when electricity is supplied to a brushless motor to generate a voltage vector along a direction of an estimated d-axis; a correction unit that corrects the direction of the estimated d-axis according to the q-axis current component to approach the direction of the estimated d-axis approach to the direction of the actual d-axis; and a control axis changing unit that changes the estimated d-axis direction by a prescribed angle when a magnitude of the q-axis current component is less than a threshold value by the correction of the direction of the estimated d-axis by the correction unit for the first time after the control axis setting control start or when a magnitude of the q-axis current component is less than the threshold value at the control axis setting control start.

In a rotary electric machine, a rotor, and a stator. The stator includes slots provided in a circumferential direction thereof, and stator windings wound in the slots. The stator windings include n groups of three-phase windings, where n is a power of 2. The slots include first slots each accommodating portions of same-group and same-phase windings in the n groups of three-phase windings. The energizing directions of the same-group and same-phase windings are identical to each other. The second slots each accommodate different-group and same-phase windings in the n groups of three-phase windings. The first slots and the second slots are arranged in the stator at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction of the stator, and the three-phase windings of each group are wound around the stator with regular intervals therebetween.

Rotary electric machine and rotary electric machine system

At least one of conditions are satisfied, the conditions are a condition that directions of vectors of N sets of first pulse voltages are different from each other, a condition that directions of vectors of N sets of second pulse voltages are different from each other, and a condition that directions of vectors of N sets of third pulse voltages are different from each other. Further, periods in which voltages having different directions of the vectors among the N sets of the first, the second and the third pulse voltages, are applied at least partially overlap with each other.

Phase angle estimation apparatus

A rotating electric machine has a drive control part and a motor having a stator and a rotor. The drive control part has an external disturbance voltage instruction generation part, a switching signal generation part, first and second drive circuits, a current acquisition part detecting an external disturbance current flowing in three phase winding in each of a first coil and a second coil of the stator, and a phase angle estimation part detecting a phase angle of the rotor of the motor based on the detected external disturbance current. The drive control part adjusts turn-on/turn-off timings of switching signals so as to reduce a timing difference between corresponding line external disturbance voltages in the three phase windings more than the time difference without performing the timing adjustment while maintaining a duty ratio of these line external disturbance voltages to that when the timing adjustment is not performed.

Rotating electric machine

In a control apparatus, an interference-reduction current calculator calculates, as an interference reduction current, a component of a current vector in a coordinate axis in a rotating coordinate system defined with respect to a rotor of the rotary machine. The current vector flows in the rotary machine, and the coordinate axis serves as an interference reduction coordinate axis in which the component of the current vector has reduced interference from change of the phase of the output voltage vector. An amplitude setter sets, as a manipulated variable for feedback controlling the interference reduction current to a command current value based on a command value for a controlled variable, one of: an amplitude of the output voltage vector, and an amplitude parameter indicative of a component of the output voltage vector. The component of the output voltage vector depends on the amplitude of the output voltage vector.

Apparatus for controlling controlled variable of rotary machine to command value

An apparatus for controlling a multi-winding rotary machine including an armature formed of a plurality of winding sets. In the apparatus, a command voltage calculator calculates command voltages to be applied to each winding set so as to control currents detected by a current detector to their respectively corresponding command currents. An interfering voltage calculator calculates, for each of the winding sets, interfering voltages proportional to the rotation speed of the rotary machine. An interfering voltage compensator compensates, for each of the winding sets, the command voltages for their respectively corresponding interfering voltages. An operation unit operates a voltage applicator to apply output values of the interfering voltage compensator to each winding set.

Apparatus for controlling a multi-winding rotary machine

In a system for driving an inverter, a superimposing element superimposes, on an output voltage of the inverter. The high-frequency voltage signal is correlated with a measured high-frequency component value of a current flowing in the rotary machine. A calculating element calculates a rotational angle of the rotary machine based on the measured high-frequency component value. A dead-time compensating element shifts a start edge and an end edge of an on duration for each of first and second switching elements of the inverter by a preset same time to compensate for an error due to dead time. A current manipulating element manipulates a current flowing in the rotary machine to maintain an accuracy of calculation of the rotational angle.

Apparatus for calculating rotational position of rotary machine

An estimation section estimates a time period required for a norm of a difference vector between a current flowing to a motor/generator and a command current to attain a threshold level r in each switching mode provisionally set by a mode setting section. A mode determination section determines the switching mode of the longest required time period to be a final switching mode. A drive section controls an inverter to operate in the switching mode determined by the mode switching section.

Control system for a rotary machiine

An estimation section calculates estimated currents corresponding to switching modes, which are provisionally set by a mode setting section. A mode determination section determines one of modes, which has a smallest difference between the estimated currents and command currents, to be a final switching mode. A drive section drives an inverter in the switching mode determined by the determination section. The estimation section uses transient-state inductances as coefficients of time differentiation of currents in voltage equations used for estimation of the estimated currents. These are different from steady-state inductances, which are coefficients of multiplication of currents and electric angular velocity.

Control system for a rotary machine

A control apparatus controls an inverter (electric power converter circuit) which is connected for selectively applying a plurality of voltage levels to each phase of a polyphase rotary machine. In each of successive control periods, the apparatus determines the inverter operation state (combination of respective voltage levels applied to the phases) to be set for the succeeding control period, by performing prediction calculations based on a model of the rotary machine, for each of a plurality of candidates for the next operation state, to select an optimum candidate. The candidates are restricted to those operation states whereby the voltage level of no more than one of the phases will be changed, at changeover to the operation state of the next control period.

Control apparatus for multi-phase rotary machine

The control apparatus controls a controlled variable of the electric rotating machine by manipulating an output voltage of a power converter circuit including switching elements operated at a set modulation index to connect positive and negative terminals of a DC power source to corresponding terminals of the electric rotating machine. The control apparatus includes a prediction section configured to predict the controlled variable for each of a plurality of cases where the power converter circuit is set in a corresponding one of a plurality of predetermined operating states, a manipulation section configured to determine one of the predetermined operating states depending on a result of evaluation by an evaluation function, and set the converter circuit to the determined operating state, and a feedback control section configured to feedback-control the output voltage of the power converter circuit at a target value by manipulating the input parameters of the evaluation function.

Control apparatus for electric rotating machine

In an apparatus, a predicting unit predicts, based on a target value of a drive mode of a power converter at a next timing, a first value of a controlled variable. The drive mode is indicative of a switching-state of each of a plurality of switching elements. The target value of the drive mode of the power converter at the next timing is temporarily set at a present timing prior to the next timing. A driving unit drives the plurality of switching elements based on the target value of the drive mode at the next timing while limiting a number of switching-state changes in the plurality of switching elements from the present timing to the next timing as long as the deviation between the predicted first value of the controlled variable at the further next timing and a command value therefor is within a threshold range.

Apparatus for carrying out improved control of rotary machine

The control apparatus controls a controlled variable of the electric rotating machine by manipulating an output voltage of a power converter circuit including switching elements operated to connect positive and negative terminals of a DC power source to corresponding terminals of the electric rotating machine. The control apparatus includes a prediction section configured to predict the controlled variable for each of a plurality of cases where the power converter circuit is set in a corresponding one of a plurality of predetermined operating states, a feedforward control section configured to set a command value of the controlled variable in accordance with the voltage of the DC power source and the electrical angular velocity of the electric rotating machine, and a manipulation section configured to select one of the predetermined operating states depending on a result of evaluation by an evaluation function receiving the predicted controlled variable and the command value.
