A power transmission device includes a power transmission mechanism having a plurality of rotating elements, a case that houses the power transmission mechanism, a sensor disposed at a bottom of the case, and an electrical wire that electrically connects the sensor and a connector section. As viewed from a direction of an axis of rotation of the power transmission mechanism, the electrical wire is routed to pass between the plurality of rotating elements to a top of the case, with the connector section being disposed at the top of the case.

Power transmission device

A strainer has an inlet for oil; a filter through which the oil that has flowed in from the inlet passes from inside to outside; a first supply port for supplying, to a first oil pump, the oil that has passed through the filter; a second supply port for supplying, to an intermittently driven second oil pump, the oil that has passed through the filter. The second supply port is located more upward than the first supply port; and the filter has a region located below the second supply port.

Strainer

A continuously variable transmission has an oil pan, an oil strainer located above the oil pan and a control valve unit located above the oil pan. The control valve unit has a shape having a cutting portion formed by a part of the control valve unit being cut out when viewed from an oil pan side. The oil strainer is arranged so as to overlap the cutting portion. With this structure, it is possible to ease a restriction on layout in terms of a height direction in the continuously variable transmission.

An oil pressure supply device includes: a first oil pump configured to be operated by a traveling drive source of a vehicle; a second oil pump configured to be operated by a motor different from the traveling drive source and to be switched between an operation and a stop according to a traveling condition of the vehicle; a pressure regulating circuit configured to regulate an oil pressure generated by the first oil pump and the second oil pump and supply the regulated oil pressure to an oil chamber; an oil passage configured to connect the second oil pump with an oil source; and a check valve provided in the oil passage.
