A first passage communicating a portion downstream side of the compressor in the intake passage and an upstream side of the intercooler with the crankcase, a second passage communicating a portion downstream of the intercooler in the intake passage with the crankcase, and a third passage communicating a portion upstream of the compressor in the intake passage with the crankcase are installed in the turbocharged engine, and a switching valve for switching between a state in which the first passage communicates and the second passage is blocked, and a state in which the first passage is blocked and the second passage communicates is provided.

Blow-by gas recirculation device

When EGR gases are introduced into the intake passage through EGR passage, the control device determines whether or not the condensed water is generated in the merging portion of the intake passage, which is the portion to which EGR passage is connected. The control device determines whether or not the internal combustion engine is in a high-load operation based on the engine speed and the engine torque. The control device determines that the condensed water is generated in the merging portion of the intake passage, and reduces the amount of the condensed water collected by the collection device when the internal combustion engine is determined to be in a high-load operation.

Internal combustion engine control device

An engine includes a cylinder block including a first jacket through which a coolant flows, a spacer disposed within the first jacket, a cylinder head including a second jacket through which the coolant flows from the first jacket; and a gasket interposed between the cylinder block and the cylinder head. The cylinder block includes a branch passage branched off from the first jacket to supply the coolant to an external device. The gasket includes communication ports that communicate the first jacket with the second jacket. The spacer includes a protruding portion that penetrates one of the communication ports that is closest to the branch passage. There is a clearance between the protruding portion and the one of the communication ports.

Engine and spacer

An engine includes a cylinder block including a water jacket, a water jacket spacer inserted into the water jacket, and a first gasket and a first cylinder head assembled to the cylinder block.

Engine

In a fastening structure that fastens an exhaust manifold to a cylinder head of an engine, a bolt that extends through a flange is inserted into and fixed to a bolt hole of the cylinder head. The flange includes a contact surface that contacts a coupling surface of the cylinder head, and an inclined surface that is inclined with respect to the contact surface. A clearance is provided between the bolt and the cylinder head inside the bolt hole in a range extending from the coupling surface of the cylinder head to a specified length.

Fastening structure and method for designing fastening structure

A bearing cap according to one embodiment of this disclosure includes: a concave part that supports a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine; first bosses that are disposed one on each side of the concave part and each have a first bolt hole; and second bosses that are disposed one on each side of a bearing cap main body having the concave part and the first bosses so as to flank the bearing cap main body and each have a second bolt hole. The bearing cap is fixed to a first member of the internal combustion engine by first bolts inserted into the first bolt holes, and to a second member of the internal combustion engine by second bolts inserted into the second bolt holes. At least the pair of second bosses have higher rigidity than a frame.
