A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell, a gas supply unit, an electric power storage device, a remaining capacity monitor, and a control unit. The control unit determines whether the temperature conditions are met, wherein the low temperature conditions include temperature related to a state of the fuel cell being equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold value set, when the control unit determines that the low temperature conditions are met, the control unit executes the purging process so as to discharge more of moisture stored in the fuel cell to an outside of the fuel cell, as compared with when the control unit determines that the low temperature conditions are not met, and the control unit executes the charging process with target remaining capacity of the electric power storage device set to a smaller value, as compared with when the control unit determines that the low temperature conditions are not met.

Fuel cell system and control method of fuel cell system

A battery and a load device are connected to a fuel cell stack. Electric power is supplied from the battery to fuel cell auxiliary equipment. A controller of a fuel cell system has stored therein a desired output of the fuel cell stack. The controller predicts auxiliary equipment power consumption, which is the amount of electric power that is consumed by the fuel cell auxiliary equipment for operation of the fuel cell stack, and determines estimated input and output power of the battery. The controller determines a requested output, which is an output requested for the fuel cell stack, based on the predicted auxiliary equipment power consumption and the estimated input and output power. The controller determines an operating point of the fuel cell stack based on the desired output. The load device controls its operation so that the difference between the requested output and the desired output becomes zero.

A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell including a fuel electrode being supplied with fuel gas and an oxidant electrode being supplied with oxidant gas and generating electric power by causing the fuel gas and the oxidant gas to react with each other, a voltmeter measuring an output voltage of the fuel cell, an ammeter measuring an output current of the fuel cell, a restricting valve provided upstream and downstream of an oxidant electrode side of the fuel cell and being opened in a power generation state and being closed in a stopped state or under the oxygen consuming control, and a load control unit controlling a current value of an output current to be output by the fuel cell and, under the oxygen consuming control, controlling the output voltage of the fuel cell such that the output current reduces as the output voltage of the fuel cell increases.

A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell, a plurality of power consuming devices, a secondary battery, a charge-discharge amount sensor, and a controller configured to control operations of the plurality of power consuming devices. An identification section of the controller is configured to execute a variation process of varying the operation command value of one of the plurality of power consuming devices and, in a second case where an absolute value of a difference between an amount of change in the actual amount of charge and discharge and an amount of change in the estimated amount of charge and discharge before and after execution of the variation process is greater than a second threshold, identify the power consuming device, for which the operation command value is varied, as the device to be identified.

In a fuel cell vehicle, when temperature of a power storage device detected by a temperature sensor is a second temperature, which is lower than a predetermined first temperature, at least in a period when the power storage device is allowed to be charged with regenerative electric power, remaining charge is controlled by setting a lower limit to a value higher than a lower limit set at the first temperature. When a stop instruction for a fuel cell system is input, remaining charge raising processing for raising the remaining charge of the power storage device is performed.

A voltage control system includes a converter device, and a controller configured to set a duty ratio according to a current target value so as to cause the converter device to repeatedly perform a boost operation according to the duty ratio. The controller is configured to set the duty ratio by use of a basic term including a feedforward term, and an additional term, the feedforward term being derived by use of a measured value of a magnitude of an input of a reactor provided in the converter device and a measured value of a magnitude of an output of the reactor or by use of respective target values of the magnitude of the input and the magnitude of the output in the reactor, the additional term being derived by use of the variation of the current target value during one cycle.

There is disclosed a fuel cell system having a motor which can be driven and generate a regenerative power by receiving the supply of a power, wherein an influence on power supply control is decreased. The control unit compares the present rotation number of the motor with a threshold value which varies in accordance with operation modes of the fuel cell, to perform the determination.

Fuel cell system and fuel cell vehicle

Provided is a fuel cell system capable of supplying electric power to external loads without excess or deficiency even when switching occurs between operation states. A warm-up timing judgment part judges whether it is time to operate warm-up based on the temperature of a fuel cell stack. A target shift voltage determination part determines a target output voltage of the fuel cell stack used during a warm-up operation, and a voltage change speed determination part determines a voltage change speed based on electric power required from the fuel cell stack, the target output voltage of the fuel cell stack used during the warm-up operation which is output from the target shift voltage determination part and a current output voltage detected by a voltage sensor. A voltage decrease execution part operates voltage decrease processing according to the voltage change speed indicated by the voltage change speed determination part.

An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell system suited for changing a drive operating point of a fuel cell at the time of low-efficiency power generation. The fuel cell system in accordance with the present invention includes a fuel cell which generates electric power by supplied reactant gases, an air compressor which adjusts the flow rate of a reactant gas supplied to the fuel cell, and a controller which controls an output current of the fuel cell by controlling the air compressor to change a drive operating point of the fuel cell. The controller sets a restriction on at least one of a current change amount and a voltage change amount per unit time when changing the drive operating point of the fuel cell in a range of low-efficiency power generation in which a power loss is larger than that in normal power generation.

A fuel cell system capable of carrying out a proper current limiting even when decreasing a cell voltage through, e.g., a rapid warm-up is provided. When a rapid warm-up is started, an acceptable cell-voltage value setting part sets a acceptable lowest-cell-voltage value in accordance with the operation state of a fuel cell. Meanwhile, a target cell-voltage value setting part sets an initial value for a target lowest-cell-voltage value. The target cell-voltage value setting part then compares a lowest cell voltage detected by a cell monitor with the set target lowest-cell-voltage value, and judges whether or not the lowest cell voltage is near the target lowest-cell-voltage value continuously for a given time period. If the result of the judgment is positive, the target cell-voltage value setting part updates the target lowest-cell-voltage value with a value obtained by decreasing the target lowest-cell-voltage value only by an update width.
