A photographing object image adjusting apparatus including a plurality of adjusting operation devices corresponding to a plurality of object image adjusting modes, respectively, and an object image adjusting device. Each of the plurality of adjusting operation devices is configured such that an adjusting operation giving an instruction of object image adjusting is performed by being manipulated. The object image adjusting device is configured to adjust an image of an object imaged on an imaging surface of a photographing element in an object image adjusting mode of the plurality of object image adjusting modes corresponding to an adjusting operation device of the plurality of adjusting operation devices in which the adjusting operation giving the instruction of object image adjusting has been performed.

Photographing apparatus and method of adjusting an image of a photographing object

An auto focusing apparatus comprises a contrast AF (auto focusing) means (), an outside light AF means (), a release button (), a focusing accurate priority button () and control means (). The control means controls the contrast AF () and outside light AF () to select a contrast AF operation when the focusing accurate priority button () is pressed before the release button () is pressed and to select an outside light AF operation when focusing accurate priority button () is not pressed before the release button () is pressed.

Auto focusing apparatus and image inputting apparatus

An apparatus for measuring distances at many points has a section for performing a distance measuring operation. The apparatus comprises a projector for selectively irradiating a projected light beam to a photographed object in a plurality of directions; a light-receiving element for receiving light reflected from the photographed object; a selecting circuit for detecting the direction of at least one projected light beam corresponding to a great change in output caused in the light-receiving element when the light beam projected from the projector is selectively irradiated to the photographed object in the plural directions; and a measured distance detecting section for performing the distance measuring operation in the direction of the projected light beam detected by the selecting circuit and providing measured distance information with respect to at least one point. The apparatus may further comprise a moving member for moving an optical axis for distance measurement of the measured distance detecting section integrally or in association with the received light beam of the light-receiving element, the projected light beam of the projector, or both of these light beams. The apparatus may further comprise other constructional sections for performing the distance measuring operation.

Apparatus for measuring distances at many points

A distance measuring apparatus of a camera is capable of performing passive and active distance measurements. A pair of light-receiving optical systems for forming images of an object in focus on respective light-detecting elements are adapted to define symmetrical light-receiving optical paths, respectively. A pair of first light beams transmitted from infinity are symmetrically incident on the light-detecting elements at one ends thereof, respectively. A pair of second light beams transmitted from a limit position which defines a measurable shortest object distance in a passive distance measurement, are incident on the light-detecting elements at the other ends thereof, respectively. A light-emitting unit for emitting an auxiliary light beam toward an object has a light-emitting optical axis which is arranged in a plane including the light-receiving optical axes of the light-receiving optical systems so that it passes through the limit position in at least either of the light-receiving optical paths. The auxiliary light beam reflected by an object which is located at the shorter distance side of the limit position, can be detected by at least either of the light-detecting elements.

Distance measuring apparatus of a camera

A distance measuring device of a triangulation system type for an automatic focusing camera having a photographing optical system. The device comprises a distance measuring unit for measuring a distance to an object to be focused through the photographing optical system. The unit is comprised of a pair of image detecting elements each for detecting an image of the object, and a pair of distance-measuring optical systems each for imaging the object onto one of the image detecting elements. A drive mechanism is provided for pivotally moving the distance-measuring optical systems and the image detecting elements of the unit integrally in a plane parallel to each of optical axes of distance-measuring optical systems, without causing any relative movement of the distance-measuring optical systems and the image detecting elements with respect to each other. A control mechanism is provided for controlling the drive mechanism so as to stop pivotal movement of the unit at each of at least two or more different pivotal angular positions thereof to thereby enable measurement of distance to each of at least two or more different points appearing in the field of view of the camera.

Distance measuring device for automatic focusing camera

A motor-driven film winder for use with a camera includes an exposure inhibit signal generator for generating an exposure inhibit signal when the number of frames to be exposed which is set by an exposure setting unit coincides with the number of exposed frames counted by a counter. The motor-driven film winder also has an unexposed frame indicator for indicating the difference between the number of frames set by the exposure setting unit and the count of the counter as the number of remaining unexposed frames when a shutter release operation of the camera is interrupted before the count of the counter reaches the preset number of frames to be exposed, and an intermittent exposure canceling signal generator for issuing an intermittent exposure cancelling signal to an intermittent exposure signal generator when the preset number of frames to be exposed coincides with the counter of the counter.

Motor-driven film winder for cameras

A photographic camera which is fully automated in the film winding and rewinding operations is provided. In one form of the present camera, the film winding operation may be automatically moved into the film rewinding operation by detecting the end of the film, for example, by detecting the fact that the tension of the film has exceeded a predetermined level. In another form, a planet gear mechanism is provided in the power transmission train so as to minimize the consumption of energy. In a further form, the camera is provided with an automatic film loading or setting mechanism and an alarm unit for generating an alarm signal when the failure of automatic film setting has been detected. In a still further form, the camera may be operated without film loaded in the camera.
