A vehicle provides information on a plurality of chargers that charge a battery mounted on the vehicle. The vehicle includes a navigation screen and an ECU. The ECU controls the navigation screen to show a map and to show a plurality of icons corresponding to the plurality of chargers at corresponding positions of the plurality of chargers on the map. The ECU controls the navigation screen to show the plurality of icons to allow identification of a charging type to which each of the plurality of chargers is adapted and magnitude of electric power that can be output under the charging type.

A control apparatus for a vehicle, is mounted on an automobile that has a motor for traveling and a power storage apparatus for exchanging electric power with the motor. The control apparatus is configured to execute external charging for charging the power storage apparatus by using electric power from an external power supply, and is configured to perform a route guidance for a planned travel route to a destination. When operation information on a charging spot of the destination is not obtainable and it is predicted that the charging spot of the destination is not usable, it is recommended to execute the external charging at a charging spot around the planned travel route.

An object is to increase the possibility that an electric vehicle is able to reach an operating charging facility. There is provided an electric vehicle comprising: a motor for driving; a power storage device configured to transmit electric power to and from the motor; and a control device configured to control the motor and to set a first rate to a controlling lower limit rate of the power storage device. When it is expected that the electric vehicle is unable to reach an operating charging facility which is a charging facility in service, with keeping the controlling lower limit rate to the first rate, the control device changes the controlling lower limit rate to a second rate that is lower than the first rate.

A vehicle includes a power receiving device, a power storage device, and an electronic control unit. A power receiving unit is configured to contactlessly receive electric power from a power transmitting unit of a power transmission device located outside the vehicle. A contactless power transfer system includes a power transmission device and a power receiving device. A second electronic control unit of the power transmission device is configured to determine whether a series of manipulations including severing connection between the power transmission device and the power supply via the power supply cable, and then connecting the power transmission device with the power supply again via the power supply cable, are performed. The second electronic control unit is configured to send a predetermined signal to the power receiving device when the second electronic control unit determines that the series of manipulations are performed. A first electronic control unit of the power receiving device is configured to generate a command for start of power transmission to the power transmission device, irrespective of the time schedule, when the first electronic control unit receives the signal.
