This invention discloses a numbering and imprinting machine including an impression cylinder, a stamp cylinder, a first printing cylinder, a second printing cylinder, and a moving inker which includes a first ink supply device and second ink supply device. A first space is formed between the moving inker, which is set at a retraction position, and the first and second printing cylinders so as to permit entrance of the operator into it. A second space is formed between the stamp cylinder and the first printing cylinder to permit the operator who has entered the first space to access the impression cylinder.

Numbering and imprinting machine

An ink fountain device for a rotary printing press includes a rotatably supported ink fountain roller, ink fountain, at least one intermediate ink dam, a press unit, and an adjustment bolt. The ink fountain is comprised of an ink fountain blade and a pair of ink dams. The intermediate ink dam includes a press plate, an adjustable plate, and an operation plate. The press unit presses the press plate through the operation plate and adjustment plate toward the outer surface of the ink fountain roller and toward the ink fountain blade. The adjustment bolt adjusts a tight contact state of the press plate with respect to at least one of the outer surface of the ink fountain roller and the fountain blade.

Ink fountain apparatus for rotary printing press

A cylinder apparatus for a rotary printing press includes a pair of inner bearings, an outer bearing, a pair of frames, a pair of cylinders, a motor, and a pair of abutting members. The pair of inner bearings rotatatively support two end shafts of at least one plate cylinder. The inner bearings have engaging projections. The outer bearing pivotally supports one of the inner bearings. The pair of frames are arranged to oppose each other through a predetermined distance, and pivotally support the outer bearing and the other one of the inner bearings. The pair of cylinders pivot the inner bearings supported by one of the frames and the outer bearing. The motor pivots the outer bearing supported by the other one of the frames. The pair of abutting members are supported by the frames. The engaging projections of the inner bearings abut against the pair of abutting members when the plate cylinder abuts against a blanket cylinder upon driving operation of the cylinders.

Cylinder apparatus for rotary printing press

A paper guide apparatus of a perfecting press is disclosed. The perfecting press comprises a blanketed impression cylinder which has a holding device for holding paper and prints one side of the paper, and a blanket cylinder which is in contact with the blanketed impression cylinder and prints the other side of the paper. The blanketed impression cylinder and the blanket cylinder are arranged nearly horizontally. In the paper guide apparatus, suction chambers for sucking and guiding the paper transported by the blanketed impression cylinder are provided between a transfer cylinder located directly ahead of the blanketed impression cylinder and the blanket cylinder, and an air nozzle is provided for blowing air between the paper transferred from the transfer cylinder to the blanketed impression cylinder and the circumferential surface of the blanketed impression cylinder. The paper guide apparatus prevents trouble in printing, such as doubling or smudging, due to a touch of the paper to the circumferential surface of the cylinder before a printing pressure is applied.
