A reciprocating tool () includes a housing (), a driving source (), a reciprocation conversion unit (), &#x2014;and a vibration reduction mechanism (). The driving source is accommodated in the' housing. The reciprocation conversion unit () is supported by the housing and is configured to convert a driving force of the driving source into a reciprocating motion for providing a tool bit () movably supported to the housing with a reciprocating motion. The vibration reduction mechanism () includes a shaft (), a weight (), a support member (), and a urging portion (). The shaft i()s supported by the housing and extending in a direction perpendicular to directions of the reciprocating motion of the tool bit () t and has an axis. The weight () is located away from the shaft () and is swingable in a swinging direction. The support member () swingably supports the weight () about the axis of the shaft (). The urging portion () urges the weight () toward a prescribed position of the weight in the swinging direction with respect to the housing.

Reciprocating tool

A power tool with a dust collection function has a motor, a dust collection fan, and a cover member. The dust collection fan is driven by the motor for collecting a dust. The cover member covers the dust collection fan. The cover member provides an air passage surrounding the dust collection fan in a circumferential direction of the dust collection fan. The cover member is configured and arranged to provide a lower pressure section and another section in the air passage when the dust collection fan rotates. The lower pressure section provides a lower static pressure than the another section. Accordingly, the power tool ensures highly efficiency for collecting a dust particle.

In an inexpensive electric tool, a thin insulating layer is provided by pouring an insulating resin material by the injection molding to extend from a rotor supporting portionformed in an outer casing to an inner surface or inner and outer surfaces of the outer casing. Also, as another configuration and method, an insulating piecefor covering the inner surface of the rotor supporting portion is provided, and also an insulating block for covering the rotor supporting portion and supporting ribs is provided.
