A novel organic compound with which the emission characteristics, emission efficiency, and reliability of a light-emitting element can be improved is provided. The organic compound has an imidazo[1,2-f]phenanthridine skeleton and a dibenzothiophene skeleton or a dibenzofuran skeleton bonded through an arylene group. The light-emitting element including the organic compound in a light-emitting layer shows high efficiency and low power consumption.

A secondary battery with excellent cycle performance is provided. The secondary battery is an all-solid-state battery including a positive electrode current collector layer, a base film, a positive electrode active material layer, a buffer layer, and a solid electrolyte layer. The base film contains titanium nitride. The positive electrode active material layer contains lithium cobalt oxide. The buffer layer contains titanium oxide. The solid electrolyte layer contains a titanium compound. By using titanium oxide for the buffer layer, a side reaction between the positive electrode active material layer and the solid electrolyte layer can be suppressed, and cycle performance can be improved.

A light-emitting element includes a pair of electrodes and an EL layer between the pair of electrodes. The EL layer includes a substance including a carbazole skeleton. The substance is bonded to a substituted or unsubstituted first arylene group through a nitrogen atom included in the carbazole skeleton. The first arylene group is bonded to a substituted or unsubstituted benzofuropyridyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted benzothienopyridyl group. The first arylene group includes 1 to 5 substituted or unsubstituted second arylene groups which are bonded to one another. The EL layer may further include a layer including an emission center substance, specifically an iridium compound.
