An impeller includes a blade including, at its leading edge part, a first leading-edge-side concavity, a leading-edge-side convexity, and a second leading-edge-side concavity, which are positioned in sequence from a radially middle part to an outboard edge part. The first leading-edge-side concavity is a part where the suction side of the impeller is concave. The leading-edge-side convexity is a part where the suction side is convex. The second leading-edge-side concavity is a part where the suction side is concave. At the leading edge part of the blade, the blade has a blade height defined in a direction along the rotational axis of the impeller toward the suction side. The blade height decreases monotonically from the radially middle part toward a first leading-edge-side stationary point, and increases monotonically from the first leading-edge-side stationary point toward a second leading-edge-side inflection point.

Impeller, fan, and air-conditioning apparatus

In a turbofan, a first curve, formed by projecting a leading edge onto a plane perpendicular to a rotating shaft, has a first inflection point and has a portion that is convex at a point closer to the first inflection point than the first point is in a counter-rotational direction and a portion that is convex at a point closer to the second point than the first inflection point is in the rotational direction, the first point is located forward of the second point in the rotational direction, a second curve, formed by projecting the trailing edge onto a plane perpendicular to the rotating shaft, follows an arc centered on the rotating shaft in a top view, a third curve, formed by projecting the trailing edge onto a cylindrical plane coaxial with the rotating shaft, is formed so as to be convex in the rotational direction, and a junction point of the third curve and the shroud is located behind the junction point of the third curve and the main plate in the rotational direction.

Turbofan and air-conditioning apparatus

An impeller includes a boss provided on a rotation axis and a blade provided on an outer circumferential side of the boss. The blade has a radially middle portion that is located midway between an outer circumferential edge and an inner circumferential edge in a radial direction of the blade from the rotation axis. A span-direction section of part of the blade that adjoins the leading edge is shaped such that part of a suction side of the blade that is located in an area between the radially middle portion and the outer circumferential edge is concave, and a span-direction section of part of the blade that adjoins the trailing edge is shaped such that part of the suction side of the blade that is located in the area between the radially middle portion and the outer circumferential edge is convex.

An indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus includes a fan, a heat exchanger, and a drain receiver. The interior of the housing is partitioned into a first space and a second space in an axial direction of the rotating shaft of the fan. In the first space, a first opening is provided to allow air to flow out toward a region located outward of the fan in the first space in a radial direction of the fan. In the second space, no opening is provided and a region located outward of the fan in the second space is closed in the radial direction of the fan. In at least part of a space between the fan in the first space and the heat exchanger, a first water receiving device is provided at a higher position than the drain receiver.

Indoor unit of air-conditioning apparatus and air-conditioning apparatus

A fan includes an impeller including a boss and a plurality of blades; an air guide portion through which an airflow moves from one end to the other end of the air guide portion; and a bell mouth defining a first suction passage inside the bell mouth and defining, together with an inner surface of the air guide portion, a second suction passage outside the bell mouth. Between an upstream end point located in an inlet of the first suction passage and a downstream end point located in an outlet of the first suction passage of the bell mouth, the bell mouth includes a minimum possible radius point to which a distance, in a radial direction, from a rotation axis of the boss is smaller than a distance, in the radial direction, from the rotation axis to the downstream end point.

An air-sending device includes a propeller fan to rotate about a rotational axis, and a ducted bell mouth surrounding an outboard area of the propeller fan. The propeller fan includes a plurality of blades. Each of the blades includes, in its outboard portion, a reflexed part bent upstream of an airflow that is generated in the direction of the rotational axis by rotation of the propeller fan. In the propeller fan, within an area that is closer to the trailing edge than is the near mid-chord area, the propeller fan is inclined downstream of the airflow from the inboard edge to the reflexed part. In at least a portion of an area where the cylindrical part of the bell mouth and the outboard edge of each blade face each, the reflexed part has a reflex angle of greater than or equal to 90 degrees.

Air-sending device

A centrifugal fan includes a main plate, a blade connected to the main plate, and a shroud having an annular shape and connected to a shroud-side end of the blade that is an end opposite a main-plate-side end of the blade connected to the main plate. The centrifugal fan rotates about a rotation axis to suction a fluid through an opening of the shroud and discharge the fluid through the blade in a radial direction. A leading edge of the blade includes a recess located next to a point at which a shroud inner surface of the shroud that faces the main plate is connected to the leading edge and curving inwardly from the point toward a trailing edge and a projection located closer to the main plate than is the recess and projecting in the rotation direction.

Centrifugal fan and air-conditioning apparatus

A fan includes an impeller including a boss serving as a center of rotation and a plurality of blades provided on an outer circumferential surface of the boss, and a structure member installed on an upstream side of the impeller in an airflow direction. The plurality of blades each have a plurality of recesses disposed only on a side of a suction surface of a leading edge. The plurality of recesses each have a rectangular shape having two longitudinal sides. Consequently, it is possible to reduce fluctuations of lift on the plurality of blades and thereby reduce discrete frequency noise.

An indoor unit includes axial-flow fans, which are provided on downstream of an air inlet. Further, a plurality of first bars are provided to the air inlet. In plan view, leading edge portions of blades of the axial-flow fan are inclined in a direction of rotation of the axial-flow fan from a rotary shaft side of the axial-flow fan to an outer peripheral side. Further, in plan view, the plurality of the first bars are inclined in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the axial-flow fan from the rotary shaft side of the axial-flow fan to the outer peripheral side.

Indoor unit for air-conditioning apparatus

A fan includes an impeller including a boss that is a rotation center, and a plurality of blades that are provided on an outer peripheral surface of the boss; a motor and a motor fixing portion rotationally driving the impeller; a housing accommodating the impeller; a plurality of stationary blades disposed downstream of the impeller and connecting the motor fixing and the housing; and a connecting portion disposed between the housing and a rotation axis of the impeller, and extending in a rotation direction of the impeller and connecting the plurality of stationary blades. The connecting portion has a recessed portion for passing wind that flows in a radial direction of the impeller.

Fan and air-conditioning device

An axial flow fan has a boss portion rotationally driven by a motor; a plurality of rotary blades extending radially from a periphery of the boss portion and configured to force air to flow in a direction of a rotation axis of the motor; and a bellmouth accommodating the plurality of rotary blades, the bellmouth comprising a suction-side round portion having a curved surface expanded in a radial direction of the bellmouth, and a discharge-side round portion having a curved surface expanded in the radial direction of the bellmouth, the plurality of rotary blades each being entirely inclined to have an outer peripheral portion in a downstream side in an airflow direction, entirety of the outer peripheral portion being located on the downstream side in the air flow direction with respect to the suction-side round portion.

Axial flow fan

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of bent parts where a direction of slope of the heat exchanger changes from an upward direction to a downward direction or from a downward direction to an upward direction. The plurality of bent parts is provided on each of a side of an air inlet and a side of an air outlet. The heat exchanger is provided such that all of the plurality of bent parts is visible when the heat exchanger is seen from a front side of a casing. Drain pans are provided below each of the plurality of bent parts that are on the side of the air outlet.

Indoor unit for air-conditioning apparatus, and air-conditioning apparatus

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a casing having an air inlet and an air outlet and having therein an air passage, and a heat exchanger and an air-sending fan which are arranged in the air passage in the casing. The air passage is divided into a plurality of air passage sections by, for example, a partition. The air-conditioning apparatus can reduce pressure loss in an indoor unit.

An indoor unit includes a casing having a suction port formed in an upper part and a blow-out port formed on a lower side at a front face part, an axial-flow or diagonal-flow fan provided on the downstream side of the suction port in the casing, and a heat exchanger provided on the downstream side of the fan and on the upstream side of the blow-out port in the casing, in which air blown out of the fan and refrigerant are heat-exchanged.

In an indoor unit for an air-conditioning apparatus, a downstream edge of each of the blades of the fan of an air-blowing device, when viewed in plan view, intersects any of the members of a motor stay of the air-blowing device irrespective of an angle of rotation of the fan. The motor stays are connected to the mounting portions of a bellmouth in which the fan is disposed, wherein the mounting portions protrude downward from a downstream outlet end of the bellmouth and each include side surfaces, of which at least a first side surface opposing a pressure surface of each of the blades of the fan is at an angle relative to a rotation axis of the fan.
