In an electronic device in which an electronic component (e.g., an encoder) including an operation body is mounted on a circuit board and a process corresponding to an input operation of the operation body is performed by a control section, a wireless communication processing section and a matching circuit which are provided on the circuit board are connected to each other via a transmission line, and in order to cause a mounting member (a mounting plate and an outer casing) of the electronic component, which is made of metal and is ungrounded, to operate as an antenna, a predetermined position (a leg piece) in the mounting plate and the matching circuit are connected to each other via a transmission line to cause the predetermined position to serve as a power supply section. Thus, a wireless communication function-equipped electronic device for which a dedicated antenna is unnecessary is obtained.

Wireless communication function-equipped electronic device

An electronic component (encoder) including an operation body is mounted on a circuit board. The electronic component causes a controller to perform processing in accordance with an operation input by the operation body. The mounting board includes a power-feeding leg piece connected to a wireless communication processor so that high frequency communication is allowed, a first short-circuiting leg piece that is adjacent to the power-feeding leg piece via a cut-out portion, and a second short-circuiting leg piece separated from the power-feeding leg piece. The short-circuiting leg pieces are connected to grounded portions. The impedance is adjusted by appropriately selecting the width or the depth of the cut-out portion. The resonance frequency is adjusted by appropriately selecting the size or the position of the short-circuiting leg piece. Thus, the mounting board operates as an inverted-F antenna in which the power-feeding leg piece functions as a power feeding portion.

Electronic device

In an antenna apparatus, two pattern antennas are arranged side by side in an area close to a ground conductor layer on a surface of a dielectric substrate, in such a manner as to be formed substantially line-symmetrical with each other. Each of the pattern antennas includes a radiation element having a feed coupler, a mutual coupler, and a feed element fed by a high frequency circuit unit. An open end of the radiation element is located near the ground conductor layer. The feed element and the feed coupler are capacitively coupled with each other, whereby the radiation element is excited. At the excitation, the mutual couplers that extend substantially in parallel with and close to each other are capacitively coupled with each other, and hence, polarization planes of the electric fields radiated from the radiation elements can be made orthogonal to each other.

Antenna apparatus

An antenna device suitable for short distance wireless communication is provided which can have a good symmetry of directional characteristics and increase a gain at both end sides in a longitudinal direction of a ground pattern. An antenna device is formed by patterning a metal conductor on a printed substrate. The antenna device is provided with a ground pattern of a rectangular shape, a power feed element arranged adjacent to one short side portion of the ground pattern, a correction pattern that projects from the short side portion and is located lateral to the power feed element, and a parasitic radiation element extending along the short side portion at a separation position facing the short side portion of the ground pattern through the power feed element and the correction pattern. An electrical length of the parasitic radiation element is set to be approximately &#xbd; of a resonant length. When power is feed, the power feed element is excited to radiate electric waves.

Vehicle antenna device having high power feeding reliability

A circuit component group of a high frequency circuit is mounted on an upper surface of a circuit board. The circuit board contains a multilayered dielectric board having a ground conductor therein. An antenna elementmade of a metal plate is mounted so as to cover a portion of the circuit component group. The antenna element contains a radiating conductive plate arranged opposite to and parallel to the circuit board, a feeding terminal piece bent from a peripheral portion of the radiating conductive plate, a ground terminal piece, and three leg pieces. The feeding terminal piece is connected to a feeding line of a wiring pattern, the ground terminal piece is connected to the ground conductor, and the leg pieces are soldered to the connecting lands formed on an upper surface of the circuit board, respectively.

Miniaturized antenna-coupled module

An antenna device includes a radiating conductor plate made of a metal sheet having an outer appearance of a substantially square shape and arranged on a ground conductor with a predetermined distance therefrom; a feed pin extending from a feeding point of the radiating conductor plate and connected to a feeding circuit; and leg pieces extending from four points of an outer circumferential edge of the radiating conductor plate to support the radiating conductor plate in a state insulated from the ground conductor. The four leg pieces are offset by predetermined distances from midpoints of respective sides of the radiating conductor plate, thereby forming degenerative separating elements. As a result, the antenna device 10 can be operated as a circularly polarized wave antenna.

Circularly polarized wave antenna made of sheet metal with high reliability

An antenna device includes a ground conductor plate, and a radiating conductor plate made of a metal plate, which is spaced from the ground conductor plate. The radiating conductor plate is provided with adjusting means for adjusting the electrical length. Thus, the correction of the electrical lengths can be made even if there is a difference between the electrical lengths of the radiating conductor plate caused by assembling errors, etc. In addition, when the antenna device is used in a state in which it is connected to external equipment, the adjusting means allows the adjustment of the electrical lengths of the radiating conductor plate even if the electrical lengths of the radiating conductor plate are subjected to the electrical influence from the electrical equipment and its surrounding environment.
