A first ink storage unit, a second ink storage unit, a discharging head configured to discharge the ink, a carriage configured to move the discharging head and the second ink storage unit in a first direction and a second direction, a tube that couples the first ink storage unit and the second ink storage unit, and a case provided with a first opening portion located vertically above a home position and a second opening portion located vertically above a first printing position, and including a beam located between the first opening portion and the second opening portion, are provided. The beam is an edge of the second opening portion, and when the carriage is located at the home position, the first ink storage unit and the second ink storage unit are located in the same direction with respect to the beam and the tube is supported by the beam.

A printer includes: a first ink storage unit and a second ink storage unit; an ejection head; a carriage configured to move the ejection head and the second ink storage unit; a tube coupling the first and the second ink storage unit to each other; a first exterior member positioned in front of the carriage; and a cutter configured to move in a scanning direction between the carriage and the first exterior member, wherein an opening is formed in the first exterior member at a position in front of the cutter, an inner surface of the first exterior member includes a first slide contact surface with which the tube can be brought into slide contact, and the first slide contact surface is positioned in an opening region where the opening is formed in the scanning direction and in a region above the opening in a vertical direction.

A printer is provided that includes a first ink storage unit storing ink, a second ink storage unit storing ink supplied from the first ink storage unit, a discharge head configured to discharge ink, a carriage configured to move the discharge head and the second ink storage unit, and a tube coupling the first ink storage unit and the second ink storage unit. The second ink storage unit includes an ink supplying port to which the tube is coupled, a communication hole communicating making inside and outside of the second ink storage unit communicate with each other, and a light-transmissive surface which is transparent or translucent. The communication hole and a portion of the light-transmissive surface are located at a position vertically higher than a front surface of the carriage in a state where the second ink storage unit is mounted on the carriage.

An inkjet printer comprising: a carriage that carries an inkjet head and configured to scan a recording medium; a main circuit board with a controller that controls the carriage; a strap including a first cable that connects to a first circuit board disposed on the carriage and to the main circuit board, a second cable that connects to a second circuit board disposed on the carriage and to the main circuit board, and a clamp configured to bundle the first cable and the second cable; a support member configured to support the strap from vertically below; and an ink tube configured to connect to the inkjet head and to an ink tank located outside of the carriage; the ink tube disposed between the strap and the support member.
