Composition comprising 0.001-4.999 parts by mass of an organic onium salt e.g. tetraoctylammonium&#x2022;bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide of formula (I): wherein Z is N or P, R, R, Rand Rare each independently C-C-hydrocarbon, providing that the ratio of the number of carbons of a group having the largest number of carbons to the number of carbons of a group having the smallest number of carbons in R, R, Rand Ris 2 or less, Xis an anion of formula (II):A-N-A&#x2003;&#x2003;(II)wherein Aand Aare each independently fluoroacyl, and 0.001-4.999 parts by mass of a C-C-fatty acid based on 100 parts by mass of a hydrocarbon solvent, the total amount of the organic onium salt and the fatty acid being 0.01-5 parts by mass. The composition maintains high productivity without causing breakdown or reduction in reliability caused by charge in the step of finally polishing a magnetic head.

There are provided a novel onium salt and a method for optimizing the interface of a negative electrode by the use of the novel onium salt and/or a conventional onium salt. A process for producing an alkoxycarbonylaminothiazoleacetic acid derivative, which comprises reacting an aminothiazoleacetic acid derivative ester with a dialkyl dicarbonate in the presence of a dialkyl carbonate to form an alkoxycarbonylaminothiazoleacetic acid derivative ester, then hydrolyzing the ester with a base, separating the carbonate formed as a by-product, and neutralizing the remaining base. The process can produce an alkoxycarbonylaminothiazoleacetic acid derivative in a simple operation and safely, at a high yield and at a high reactor yield.
