An axial air-gap rotary electric machine includes a stator, a coil, and a bobbin. The bobbin includes a tube and a flange. The coil is wound on the outer periphery of the tube portion with regular winding. A number of turns of each of a plurality of layers wound around an external side of a last layer in contact with the flange is at least one less than a number of turns of each of a plurality of layers wound around an adjacent internal side of the last layer.

Axial air-gap rotary electric machine having a different number of internal side layers and external side layers

The moldability of the stator of an axial gap type rotating electric machine improved. The axial gap type rotating electric machine has: a stator comprising core members disposed about a rotating shaft in a ring shape with a predetermined space from adjacent core members, said core members each having a core around which a coil is wound, the number of the turns of the coil being less on the outer perimeter side than on the inner perimeter side, the core members being molded with mold material; and a rotor facing an end surface of the core in the shaft direction through a predetermined gap. The core members comprise: a first core member in which the number of coil winding layers on one side in the shaft direction is larger than the number of winding layers on the other side; and a second core member in which the number of coil winding layers on one side in the shaft direction is less than the number of winding layers on the other side. In the stator, the first and second core members are alternately disposed, with the coil on the side where the number of the winding layers of the first core member is larger and the coil on the side where the number of the winding layers of the second core member is smaller opposed to each other.

Axial gap type rotating electric machine and stator

An axial-air-gap rotating electric machine with a stator bobbin is provided. The bobbin renders the respective turn counts of windings in the machine the same and minimizes the lengths of connecting wires between continuous windings regardless of the continuous turn count, the direction in which each winding is wound, and whether the number of stages is odd or even. The bobbin, which has a tubular shape that substantially matches the exterior shape of a core, is provided with flanges that extend outwards from near the respective openings in the bobbin. One of the flanges has two first notches, and the other flange has a second notch. The axial positions of the starting and finishing ends of coils on adjacent stator cores are the same, and the flanges containing the notches through which the ends of the coils are run are on the same side with respect to the openings.

Axial-air-gap dynamo-electric machine with a tubular-shaped stator bobbin

The present invention ensures reliability while reducing the size of an axial air gap rotating electric machine. An axial air gap rotating electric machine has: a stator comprising a plurality of core members arranged in a ring shape, said core members each having an iron core, a coil wound in an iron core outer periphery direction, and a bobbin disposed between the iron core and the coil; and a rotor plane-facing an end surface of the iron core via an air gap in a rotating shaft radial direction. The bobbin has: a tubular portion facing the outer peripheral side surface of the iron core and shorter than the length of the iron core; flange portions extending in the vicinity of both ends of the tubular portion from the outer periphery of the tubular portion toward the vertical direction outside by a predetermined length; and a projection portion being on the outside surface of at least one of the flange portions and near the inner edge of the tubular portion, having an inner peripheral surface facing the end outer peripheral side surface of the inserted iron core, and further projecting in an extending direction of the tubular portion.
