Provided is a microscope apparatus including: a microscope section configured to perform magnified observation of a subject's eye while obtaining a red reflex caused by irradiating a fundus of the subject's eye with illuminating light; a holding section configured to hold the microscope section; and a tilting section configured to tilt an illumination optical axis which is an optical axis of an illumination optical system, and an observation optical axis which is an optical axis of an observation optical system in the microscope section, around a tilt reference point in an interior of the subject's eye as a base point, while maintaining a substantially coaxial state between the illumination optical axis and the observation optical axis.

Provided is a microscope apparatus including: a microscope section configured to image a subject's eye with an image sensor for performing magnified observation of the subject's eye; a holding section configured to hold the microscope section; a front lens insertion/removal unit configured to insert/remove a front lens for observing a posterior eye of the subject's eye onto an optical axis of the microscope section; and a control apparatus configured to execute an AF control that focuses the microscope section on an image-forming position of an image of the posterior eye by the front lens when the front lens is inserted onto the optical axis of the microscope section by the front lens insertion/removal unit.

A medical stereoscopic observation device includes: an acquisition section configured to acquire, from an imaging unit including a first imaging section configured to capture a left-eye image and a second imaging section configured to capture a right-eye image, correction data for correcting an error related to capturing of an image between the first imaging section and the second imaging section, the imaging unit being rotatably held by a support section; and a correction section configured to correct a difference of parallax between the left-eye image and the right-eye image on a basis of the correction data, using a position corresponding to a rotation axis of the imaging unit as a reference position.

Provided is a sterile drape configured to cover a medical observation apparatus to keep the medical observation apparatus sterile, the medical observation apparatus including a microscope part configured to magnify and image a microfine site of an observation object, an input part configured to receive an input of an operation instruction to the microscope part, and a grip part having a bar shape and having a surface provided with at least a portion of the input part, the sterile drape including: an attaching part configured to be fixed and attached to the grip part in a state where the sterile drape covers the medical observation apparatus.

[Object] To provide a medical observation apparatus and a medical observation system that can ensure the user's visual field and have good manipulability. [Solution] A medical observation apparatus includes: a cylindrical unit; an imaging unit provided in a hollow portion of the cylindrical unit and including an optical system configured to collect light from an object to be observed and form an image, and an imaging element configured to photoelectrically convert light collected by the optical system and output an imaging signal; a support unit including at least one set composed of two arm units and a joint unit linking one of the two arm units to the other in a rotationally movable manner and supporting, at its tip portion, the cylindrical unit and the imaging unit in a rotationally movable manner around an axis in a height direction of the cylindrical unit; and an arm manipulation unit provided on a side surface of the cylindrical unit corresponding to an upper side of an image based on the imaging signal and configured to accept a manipulation input that permits a rotational movement of the arm unit.

[Solution] A medical stereoscopic observation device including: an acquisition section that acquires input image data; a parallax control section that controls, for each of a plurality of different display regions, a parallax value in accordance with display size of the display region; and an image generation section that generates, for each display region, a parallax image corresponding to each of a plurality of viewpoints for display in the display region, on a basis of the acquired input image data and the parallax value corresponding to the display region.

A 3D endoscope includes an insertion portion, a left imaging unit which comprises a left imaging optical system and a left imaging device, a right imaging unit which comprises a right imaging optical system and a right imaging device, a receiving portion which receives the left imaging unit and a receiving portion which receives the right imaging unit. The 3D endoscope includes a body provided at a side of a distal end of the insertion portion, the body supporting the receiving portions at an angle to a longitudinal direction so that the inclination of a left optical axis relative to the longitudinal direction, the inclination of a right optical axis relative to the longitudinal direction, the angle of rotation of the left imaging unit around the left optical axis, and the angle of rotation of the right imaging unit around the right optical axis are adjustable.

3D endoscope

An imaging and displaying system comprises an imaging unit for acquiring images of a treatment site of a subject, a display unit for displaying the images acquired by the imaging unit, and a unit-to-unit connecting device for detachably connecting the imaging unit and the display unit. The imaging unit and the display unit are spatially and movably supported. At least one of the imaging unit and the display unit is detachably attached to an arm with a unit-to-arm detachable device therebetween.

An image observation apparatus comprising an image display unit for displaying an observation image and a supporting mechanism for supporting the image display unit movably and adjustably in the directions of three, substantially perpendicular axes. Since the supporting mechanism of this image observation apparatus can move and adjust the image display unit in three orthogonal axial directions, an operator need not select a plurality of articulates for operating them when he/she wants to move the image display unit to a desired axial direction. Further, one of the three axes can be a rotational axis for turnably supporting the image display unit around the operator. According to this configuration, the image display unit can be independently moved and adjusted in three axial directions, while the observation angle of the observer with respect to the display face of the image display unit is kept constant.

Image observation apparatus

A stereoscopic observation system includes a stereoscopic image pick up apparatus to pick up left and right images at an inward angle, a stereoscopic image display apparatus to transmit the left and right images picked up by the stereoscopic image pick up apparatus to an observer so that the images are stereoscopically observed at a convergence angle, a convergence angle change portion provided in the stereoscopic image display apparatus and to change the convergence angle, a recognition portion to recognize the stereoscopic image pick up apparatus, and a control portion to control the convergence angle change portion on the basis of the result of the recognition in the recognition portion so that the convergence angle is substantially equal to the inward angle.

Stereoscopic observation system

A medical stereo observation system includes a stereo imaging unit producing a first image for a left eye and a second image for a right eye that mutually have parallax and a stereo display unit capable of displaying stereoscopically the images produced by the stereo imaging unit. The stereo imaging unit has a first imaging optical system producing the first image for the left eye and a second imaging optical system producing the second image for the right eye, and focal positions of these imaging optical systems are located far away from the intersection of optical axes of the imaging optical systems, viewed from the stereo imaging unit. Whereby, a large-depth space can be comfortably observed in a wide range and a viewer can observe an observation object without bringing about a feeling of fatigue.

Medical stereo observation system

Binocular luminous fluxes are formed by an objective lens and a pair of relay lenses and go through a splitting optical system, which allows an assistant to observe the same stereoscopic view as the surgeon by using an assistant's binocular eyepiece optical system at a location across from the surgeon via a splitting optical system. Part of at least one of the binocular luminous fluxes is incident on a pupil splitting optical system, forming a binocular luminous flux that has undergone pupil splitting, which allows stereoscopic observation by pupil splitting even when the assistant's binocular eyepiece optical system is rotated to the surgeon's side.
