A heat management system includes: a refrigerant circuit; a high-temperature heat medium circuit through which heat medium is heated to a high temperature by heat released from the refrigerant, and circulated; a low-temperature heat medium circuit through which heat medium is cooled to a low temperature by absorbing heat into the refrigerant, and circulated; a temperature adjustment heat exchanger to adjust a temperature of a heat management subject; a heat medium mixer connected to an upstream side of the temperature adjustment heat exchanger to mix high-temperature heat medium and low-temperature heat medium at a ratio depending on a target temperature of the heat management subject; and a branch connected to a downstream side of the temperature adjustment heat exchanger to return the heat medium having gone through the temperature adjustment heat exchanger to the high-temperature heat medium circuit and the low-temperature heat medium circuit.

Heat management system

Apparatus for utilizing heat wasted from an engine includes: a Rankine cycle (); a transmission mechanism that couples an output shaft of an expansion device () to a rotary shaft of an engine via an electromagnetic clutch () that can be engaged and disengaged; a passage () through which refrigerant exiting a heat exchanger () flows so as to bypass the expansion device (); and a bypass valve () interposed in the passage. To stop the expansion device (), the electromagnetic clutch () is switched from an engaged state to a disengaged state after switching the bypass valve () from a closed state to an open state. If the bypass valve () becomes stuck in the closed state, expansion device front-rear differential pressure limiting processing in which a front-rear differential pressure of the expansion device is limited while maintaining the electromagnetic clutch () in the engaged state is performed.

Apparatus for utilizing heat wasted from engine

Apparatus for utilizing heat wasted from an engine includes first pressure detecting means () and first temperature detecting means () for detecting a pressure and a temperature in a refrigerant passage extending from a condenser () to a refrigerant pump (), second pressure detecting means () and second temperature detecting means () for detecting a pressure and a temperature in a refrigerant passage extending from a heat exchanger () to an expansion device (), and control means () responsive to these four detecting means when operating a Rankine cycle (). Means () is for diagnosing whether or not an electromagnetic clutch () is stuck responsive to either the first pressure detecting means () and the first temperature detecting means (), or the second pressure detecting means () and the second temperature detecting means ().

To effectively reduce a situation in which an over-rotation of an expander occurs or the expander becomes a load on an engine at the time of a stop of a Rankine cycle in an exhaust heat recovery device provided with the Rankine cycle that recovers exhaust heat of an engine. A pressure difference &#x394;P between a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side of the Rankine cycle is obtained when the Rankine cycle is stopped (S), a waiting time Ta is set (calculated) based on the obtained pressure difference &#x394;P (S). Then, a bypass valve is opened to allow a refrigerant to circulate while bypassing the expander (S), and then an electromagnetic clutch is disengaged when the waiting time Ta has elapsed to block transmission of power between the expander and the engine (S, S).

Exhaust heat recovery device

A device for utilizing waste heat from an engine, which is provided with a Rankine cycle device having an expander bypass passage and a bypass valve that opens and closes the expander bypass passage, and transmits the output torque Tr of the Rankine cycle device to the engine, estimates the output torque Tr of the Rankine cycle device accurately. An output calculation part includes a torque estimation portion that estimates the torque of an expander. The torque estimation portion has a first torque estimation equation corresponding to an opening position of a bypass valve, and a second torque estimation equation corresponding to a closed position of the bypass valve. The output calculation part calculates an output torque Tr of a Rankine cycle device, based on a torque estimated value by the first or second torque estimation equation.

Device for utilizing waste heat from engine

An exhaust heat recovery device, with a Rankine cycle for recovering and using exhaust heat of an engineincludes: a Rankine cycleincluding a heater, an expander, a condenser, and a pump; a bypass flow passageallowing the refrigerant to circulate while bypassing the expander; a bypass valveopening and closing the bypass flow passage; and a control unit. When starting up the Rankine cycle, the control unitexecutes start-up control of the Rankine cyclein which the pumpis actuated with the bypass valveopen and then the bypass valveis closed. Furthermore, the control unitrepeatedly executes the start-up control when the pressure difference between the high-pressure side and the low-pressure side of the Rankine cycleafter closing the bypass valvedoes not reach the start-up completion determination value within a predetermined time.

A waste heat utilization apparatus is provided with a Rankine cycle and a power transmission mechanism that transmits power regenerated by an expander to an engine. The power transmission mechanism includes an expander clutch that interrupts or permits the transmission of the power from the expander to the engine. The expander includes a rotational speed sensor that detects a rotational speed of the expander. An increase in friction of the expander is detected on the basis of an increase in the rotational speed of the expander detected by the rotational speed sensor when the expander clutch is disconnected.
