A motion guiding device includes: a lower rail having a guiding groove; an upper rail movably disposed in the guiding groove; a first side cover and a second side cover that are fixed to the lower rail; and a slide fastener held by the first side cover and the second side cover. Each of the first side cover and the second side cover includes: a cover body piece engaged with a fastener tape of the slide fastener such that the fastener tape is movable to open and close the slide fastener; and a fixing piece extending from a surface of the cover body piece. The cover body piece includes a support projection projecting from the surface of the cover body piece.

There is provided a skin-material fixing clip for connecting a skin material with a cushion material and provided with a locking section and a hook. The hook is provided with an extension portion extending downward from the locking section and a claw-shaped portion extending laterally from a distal end of the extension portion. The locking section is provided with a wire guide piece. A groove portion surrounded by the claw-shaped portion and the extension portion defines a wire holding space. Parts of the wire guide piece and the claw-shaped portion facing the wire insertion opening defines guide surfaces. The distal end portion of the wire guide piece and the distal end portion of the claw-shaped portion are provided to be spaced from each other along a direction parallel to an extending direction of the groove portion.

Systems and methods for introducing hook fastening elements into a mold traveling along a mold assembly line are disclosed. The system can be configured to cut hook fastening tape into strips having a predetermined length based on information received from the mold assembly line, and to drop the cut strips directly into the mold at the appropriate intervals as the mold travels along the mold assembly line. Also disclosed is a system for facilitating the continuous feeding of hook fastening tape through the system.

This surface fastener has a substrate portion and a plurality of engaging elements, each of the engaging elements being provided with a stem portion standing from the substrate portion and a hook portion extending in the fastener width direction from the stem portion. The engaging element has a narrow width tip end portion provided with at least a hook portion and an enlarged width portion provided with only the stem portion, separated by a reference surface along the fastener length and height directions as a boundary. This makes an undercut hardly formable in the molding of the engaging element, and deficiencies such as deformation and the like of the engaging element can be prevented. Further, the strength of the stem portion can be increased, and a damage which a loop-shaped engaging element and the engaging element receive when the loop-shaped engaging element is attached or pulled out can be reduced.

A skin material fastening structure for removably fastening an edge of a first skin material covering a part of molded foam and an edge of a second skin material covering another part of the molded foam in a fastening groove formed in the molded foam. The fastening groove includes first and second sides facing each other, and a bottom extending between lower ends of the first and second sides. A hook and loop fastener is fixed on the first and second sides. Each of the edges of the first and second skin materials has loops capable of engaging with the hooks.

There is provided a cover material fastening clip for attaching a cover material to a cushion material. The clip is provided with a locking portion, a hook portion and a guide portion. The hook portion is provided with an extending portion that extends downward from the locking portion, a first hook piece a second hook portion. A space between a leading end portion of the first hook piece and the guide portion serves as a first insertion opening with a predetermined gap into which the wire is inserted. Slide fastener closing tools and methods of using same. In one embodiment, the slide fastener closing tool is configured to help open or close a slide fastener on an article, such as but not limited to seat, while maintaining a predetermined alignment of the tool relative to the slide fastener. Maintaining the alignment between the tool and the slide fastener reduces the likelihood that the elements of the fastener tape are damaged during opening and closing of the slide fastener. In one embodiment, the tool includes a guide plate configured to help maintain such alignment.

Various embodiments of the invention provide a soft cover for covering a seat having an inner frame. According to various embodiments, the soft cover includes a rear portion having a first side portion, a second side portion, an upper portion, and a flap portion with a medial portion. In various embodiments, the medial portion of the soft cover is configured to be recessed by engaging hooks that are attached to the inner surface of the medial portion to the inner frame of the seat and engaging fasteners along the edges of the flap portion with corresponding fasteners along the first and second side portions of the rear portion.
