A solar cell with a simple configuration and high efficiency, and a manufacturing method therefor are provided. A solar cell of the present invention includes a semiconductor substrate that has a first surface receiving sunlight and a second surface on the back side of the first surface and that includes a through hole passing through between the first surface and the second surface; and a first electrode that includes a main electrode portion containing a glass component and formed on the first surface of the semiconductor substrate and a conducting portion electrically connected to the main electrode portion, formed in the through hole of the semiconductor substrate, and having a lower glass-component content than the main electrode portion.

A solar cell module with a simple configuration and high efficiency is provided. A solar cell module of the present invention is configured by electrically connecting a plurality of solar cell elements. A printing plate according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a metal plate; a buffer layer that is arranged on one main surface of the metal plate; and a slit that penetrates through the metal plate and the buffer layer. The slit has a first penetrating part that is located in the metal plate, a second penetrating part that is located in the buffer layer, and a bridge that is arranged inside and across the first penetrating part. When viewed in plan from the above-mentioned main surface side, the buffer layer-side opening edge of the first penetrating part is inside the metal plate-side opening edge of the second penetrating part.

A photovoltaic conversion element includes a one conductivity-type crystalline Si semiconductor; an opposite conductivity-type semiconductor which is joined to the crystalline Si semiconductor to form a pn junction therebetween; an electrode provided on the opposite conductivity-type semiconductor; and a depletion region formed from the side of the one conductivity-type crystalline Si semiconductor to the side of the opposite conductivity-type semiconductor across the pn junction formed therebetween. The depletion region has a first depletion region located inside the crystalline Si semiconductor and under the electrode, and the first depletion region has an oxygen concentration of 1E18 [atoms/cm] or less.
