To provide a particle measuring device capable of removing particles adhering to an observation window for capturing an image of the particles and measuring an accurate particle size distribution. A particle measuring device that image-recognizes particles contained in a fluid to be measured and measures a physical quantity of the particles includes: a sample holding region that holds a sample containing the particles; an observation window disposed on a wall surface of the sample holding region; and a cleaning nozzle configured to discharge a cleaning liquid toward the observation window, in which the cleaning liquid is different from the fluid to be measured.

Provided are a compact mixing system capable of reducing a use amount of a mixing agent and reducing a volume of a utility that supplies the mixing agent, and a measurement system using the mixing system. Particle behavior simulation method and particle behavior simulation system

A particle size measuring apparatus capable of measuring a smaller particle size includes: a first light source configured to emit parallel beam to a sample containing particles; a first image capturing apparatus disposed to approximately face the first light source with the sample disposed therebetween and configured to capture an image of the sample; and an image analyzing unit configured to analyze the image captured by the first image capturing apparatus. The first image capturing apparatus and the first light source are disposed so as to approximately face each other so that an image of scattered light of the parallel beam incident on particles and scattered at a prescribed angle &#x3b8;th or smaller is captured by the first image capturing apparatus. The image analyzing unit is configured to calculate a particle size on the basis of a scattered light image captured by the first image capturing apparatus.

Particle size measuring apparatus and measuring method

A pressure sensor which detects a combustion pressure of an engine includes: a contact part which is in direct or indirect contact with a casing of the engine when the pressure sensor is attached to the engine; and a pressure detection unit which detects the combustion pressure and outputs a signal corresponding to the combustion pressure, wherein the pressure detection unit includes a pressure detection element which detects the combustion pressure and outputs a signal, and a circuit unit which converts the signal obtained from the pressure detection element into a signal corresponding to the combustion pressure, and the pressure detection unit is provided at a location positioned more inside the engine than the contact part when the pressure sensor is attached to the engine.

A pressure sensor includes a connection portion provided with a screw portion configured to fix the pressure sensor to a combustion chamber of a vehicle engine; a hollow liquid-enclosing container fixed to one end of the connection portion; a pressure transmission fluid enclosed inside the liquid-enclosing container; a diaphragm fixed to one end of the liquid-enclosing container and elastically deformed when receiving pressure to transmit the pressure to the pressure transmission fluid; a pressure detection element fixed to the other end of the liquid-enclosing container and detecting the pressure transmitted to the pressure transmission fluid and converts the detected pressure into an electric signal; and a heat-dissipating rod provided inside the liquid-enclosing container. The connection portion and the liquid-enclosing container, and the connection portion and the diaphragm are mechanically connected to each other by welding or the like.
