Weld structure of metal member and welding process

A plurality of battery cells are connected by a busbar. Electrode terminals of the battery cells each include a protruding portion and a welding surface around the protruding portion. The busbar includes a welding plate portion being in surface-contact with the welding surface and having a cut-away portion for guiding the protruding portion, and an exposure gap that exposes the welding surface between the inner side of the cut-away portion and the protruding portion. The busbar is welded to the welding surface in a predetermined welding width (H) by both of a fillet weld part and a penetration welding portion such that the inner edge of the cut-away portion as the fillet weld part is welded to the welding surface, and the boundary between the busbar and the welding surface is welded by the penetration welding portion.

Battery system for laser-welding a busbar to electrode terminals and connecting battery cells in a low resistance state

An assembled battery has a battery block configured by stacking a plurality of single batteries, and fixing components fixing the plurality of the single batteries. The fixing components include a pair of end plates disposed at both ends in a stacked direction of the plurality of the single batteries, and a metal band making the plurality of the single batteries in a compressed state by coupling end parts of the pair of the end plates each other. Each of the pair of the end plates has a peripheral part and a central part. The pair of the end plates respectively contact both end single batteries located at both ends in the stacked direction at the peripheral parts, and are respectively separated from both end single batteries at the central parts.

Assembled battery

Provided are a laser-bonded component and a production method for same that ensure sufficient bonding strength using little laser energy and which cause little increase in surrounding temperature. A nickel layer, being a surface layer, is formed having sufficient thickness on the upper surface of a copper plate that is uppermost amongst at least two superposed copper plates, a laser is irradiated from above the nickel layer, a re-solidification section formed by fusing and alloying the copper in the copper plates and the nickel in the nickel layer is formed through to inside the bottommost copper plate, and the copper plates are bonded together. The re-solidification section having high breaking strength is formed by the alloying of the nickel and the copper. As a result, the copper plates can be bonded with a small welding surface area and little laser energy.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a battery block that serves as a member that contains a plurality of battery cells, wherein if abnormal heat generation occurs, the resulting heat is evenly, rapidly, and efficiently distributed throughout the entire block, and the portions in which the battery cells are accommodated have high dimensional precision. The present invention provides a battery block that contains the following: a metal case that contains a plurality of pipe-shaped members; and battery cells accommodated, respectively, in said plurality of pipe-shaped members. The pipe-shaped members are joined to each other, forming a single unit, and join parts that join adjacent pipe-shaped members to each other are at least 70% as long as the pipe-shaped members themselves.

An organic insulating coating formed on a substrate is composed of two layers of a first parylene coating and a second parylene coating. Heat treatment is performed to at least the first parylene coating after being formed, at a temperature below 125&#xb0; C. for two hours. Then the second parylene coating is formed on the first parylene coating. Occurrence of pinholes is thus prevented at least in one of the two layers of the organic coatings, with the result that insulating properties of the coatings are improved.

Record sheets on which an image is formed on the basis of image data supplied from a terminal apparatus, are efficiently discharged to a bin. A post-process section of a digital copier which is used in conjunction with at least first to third computers includes first to third bins, fourth and fifth bins, and a sixth bin, respectively, which are designated for the first, second, and third computers. To each of the bins, a priority of discharging to the bin a record sheet which is to be discharged to another bin is assigned. The section is configured so that, for each of the bins, the number of record sheets housed in the bin can be detected. For example, a record sheet on which an image due to the third computer is drawn is usually housed in the sixth bin. If the sixth bin is full, the record sheet is discharged to one of bins which are not the sixth bin and which are not the first and fourth bins respectively dedicated to the first and second computers, i.e., one of the second, third, and fifth bins.

Image forming apparatus

A sheet post-processing device is provided which includes a post-processing tray on which sheets of paper supplied from an image forming device are stacked, and a post-processing section for applying a post-processing operation to edges of one side of the sheets of paper stacked on the post-processing tray. The device further includes a first feed-out opening for discharging, to outside, the sheets of paper having been subject to the post-processing operation, a first discharge transport path for transporting the sheets of paper from the post-processing tray to the first feed-out opening, and a feed-out section for discharging the post-processed sheets of paper from the post-processing tray to the first discharge transport path.

A sheet post-processing device comprises a feed-in opening through which sheets of paper fed out of a copying machine are supplied, a staple tray on which the sheets of paper to be stapled are stacked, a stapler for stapling the sheets of paper stacked on the staple tray, a feed-out opening for discharging the stapled sheets of paper, and a plurality of paths for transporting the sheets of paper from the feed-in opening, to the staple tray, and further to the feed-out opening. The sheet post-processing device is further characterized in that the feed-in opening is positioned not higher than a position of an upper edge of the post-processing tray and not lower than a position of a lower edge of the post-processing tray. With this arrangement, the sheet post-processing device can be arranged so as to have smaller limitation on positions of the post-processing tray and the feed-in opening in the sheet post-processing device.
