An input device includes an operation unit to receive an operation, the operation unit including a magnetic member having a magnetic property, at least one load detection unit to detect a load on the operation unit and detect the load according to capacitance between a pair of conductors, a substrate on which an electrode as one of the pair of conductors of the load detection unit is arranged, and a drive unit including a coil to generate a magnetic field for driving the magnetic member. The coil is arranged on the substrate.

An electrostatic capacitance detection device includes a plurality of electrodes configured to detect an electrostatic capacitance, an electrostatic capacitance measurement part configured to select one electrode from the plurality of electrodes as a detection electrode, to allow the electrodes other than the detection electrode to be in a first electric potential condition and then to be in a second electric potential condition that is different from the first electric potential condition, and to measure a first voltage of the detection electrode in the first electric potential condition and a second voltage of the detection electrode in the second electric potential condition, and a judgment part configured to compare measurement values based on the first and the second voltages of the detection electrode, thereby to judge whether the detection electrode is in a short circuit condition.

Electrostatic capacitance detection device

An input device includes a selection circuit that is connected to a plurality of electrodes provided on a capacitive touch panel and selectively connects the plurality of electrodes, a calibration resistor connected to the selection circuit, a constant current source for supplying constant current power to the plurality of electrodes and the calibration resistor, an A/D converter connected to the selection circuit to measure capacitance of the plurality of electrodes and a measured value measured when the calibration resistor is connected, and a control unit controlling the selection circuit to make the A/D converter measure the capacitance of one of the plurality of electrodes and the measured value measured when the calibration resistor is connected, and determining a contact coordinate of the touch object on a touch panel by calculating a ratio of the capacitance to the measured value.

An electrostatic capacitance detection device includes a substrate having a predetermined thickness, an electrode layer formed on a front surface of the substrate in a predetermined pattern including electrodes to be touched so as to detect an electrostatic capacitance and wirings drawn from the electrodes, and a shield layer formed on a rear surface of the substrate and into a shield pattern corresponding to the predetermined pattern of the electrode layer. The shield pattern of the shield layer is formed surrounding the electrodes without overlapping with the electrodes, surrounding the wirings, and between the wirings when viewed in the thickness direction of the substrate.

A charging system that significantly increases the anti-theft capability of a charging subject. The charging subject includes a rechargeable battery. The rechargeable battery of the charging subject is connected to a power supply of a house by power lines. An authentication management device performs authentication of the charging subject by communicating with the charging subject through the power lines and permits charging of the rechargeable battery with the power supply of the house only when the authentication is established.

A charging system that facilitates tracking of a stolen charging subject. The charging subject includes a battery and has a unique identification code. A charging device is connected to the battery of the charging subject by an electric cable, and the battery is chargeable. A server is connected to either one of the charging device and the charging subject and manages charging of the charging subject with the charging device. The server is cable of registering an identification code of the charging subject. The server obtains the identification code from the charging subject, determined whether or not the obtained identification code is registered in the server, and transmits to the charging device a charging prohibition command for prohibiting charging of the charging subject with the charging device when the obtained identification code is not registered in the server.

Registration-based vehicle battery charging system

A travel mode setting device for a hybrid car capable of ensuring the security against car theft and convenience when the car is lent to the third party. The hybrid car has travel drive sources and selectively uses one of them and can travel in one of travel modes. Authenticating means separately authenticate the car user and creates authentication results. Limiting means limits the travel modes to the usable travel modes according to the results of the authentication by the authenticating means.
