A liquid ejection head has a base plate with an actuator on an upper surface. Pressure chambers are formed in the actuator. A first common chamber connects to a first side of the pressure chambers, and a second common chamber connects to a second side. A nozzle plate is on an upper surface side of the actuator and has nozzles at positions corresponding to the pressure chambers. A supply hole is in the base plate and connected to the first common chamber. A discharge hole is in the base plate and connected to the second common chamber. A manifold is on a lower surface of the base plate. The manifold has a supply flow path for supplying liquid to the supply hole, a discharge flow path for receiving liquid from the discharge hole, and a temperature control flow path through which a temperature control liquid can flow.

According to one embodiment, an ink jet head includes: a cover including an opening; a flexible cable extending from the opening toward an outside of the cover and having a rigidity lower than the cover; a protection member configured to have rigidity higher than the flexible cable, arranged between the flexible cable and the opening of the cover, and protruding toward an outside of the opening of the cover, while both end portions of an outer end edge of the opening are inclined or curved in a direction in which the flexible cable extends from the opening; and a sealing arranged in the opening in which the flexible cable and the protection member are arranged.

A liquid discharge head includes a head, a liquid supply conduit, a liquid discharge conduit, a radiator, first and second wiring boards, and a heat conductive member. Liquid is supplied to the head for discharge through the liquid supply conduit. Liquid that passes through the head flows to the liquid discharge conduit. The radiator includes a flow path through which a coolant flows. The coolant is different from the liquid supplied to the head for discharge. The first wiring board is between the head and the radiator and has a connector connected to a wiring extending through an inner space of the radiator. The second wiring board is between the head main body and the first wiring board, and includes, thereon, a driving control element. The heat conductive member extends between the head and the radiator, and is in thermal contact with the radiator.

An ink jet head includes an ejection unit including first nozzles arranged along a line, second nozzles arranged parallel to the first nozzles, a first actuator configured to cause ink to be ejected from the first nozzles, and a second actuator configured to cause ink to be ejected from the second nozzles, a first drive circuit configured to drive the first actuator, a second drive circuit configured to drive the second actuator, and a casing. The casing has a first space on a first side of the casing and a second space on a second side of the casing that is opposite to the first side. The first drive circuit is housed in the first space and the second drive circuit is housed in the second space.

An ink jet head includes a head body, a plurality of pipes, a plurality of flexible substrates, a reference plate, a plate base, a plurality of in-covers, and a plurality of side covers. Each of the in-covers includes an inner surface having a first mating surface in contact with the plate base, and an outer surface having a second mating surface in contact with the driving circuits. Each of the side covers includes an inner surface that is thermally coupled to a respective one of the plurality of in-covers and has a third mating surface in contact with the second mating surface section of the respective one of the plurality of in-covers, and an outer surface fastened to the print wiring substrate.

According to one embodiment, a sheet processing device includes a jogger fence configured to carry out a crosswise direction alignment to a stack of image formed sheets ejected from an image forming apparatus, a rear end fence acting as a lengthwise reference edge, a stapling device configured to staple the aligned sheet stack, a discharge belt configured to move the stapled sheet stack to a sheet ejection tray, and a controller to control movement of the jogger fence during the sheet stack being moved by the discharge belt so as to move the jogger fence more than once between a position where the jogger fence does not contact the edge of the sheet stack and a position where the jogger fence pressing contact the edge of the sheet stack.

A post-processing apparatus has a standby tray to receive a paper sheet to be supplied from a digital copier, a processing tray to receive a paper sheet dropped from a standby tray, and a stapler to staple the rear end aligned on the processing tray. When a first paper sheet is supplied to the standby tray, the standby tray roller is brought into contact with the paper sheet and rotated reversely, the paper sheet is returned a little, and the rear end of the paper sheet is placed at the holding position on the tab. Then, the press member presses the rear end of the paper sheet, to receive a second paper sheet.

A sheet post-processing apparatus includes a pair of sheet feeding rollers for receiving the sheet supplied from an image forming apparatus and conveying it to the downstream side, a stand-by tray for receiving the delivered sheet and an assist arm arranged at the sheet delivery side of the pair of sheet feeding rollers and adapted to turn. The assist arm turns, utilizing the rotary force of a motor that is adapted to rotate both forwardly and backwardly, so as to press the rear end of the sheet delivered from the pair of sheet feeding rollers against the stand-by tray when the motor is driven backwardly.
