A lens unit includes: a lens including a lens part formed at the center of the lens, and a flange part that extends radially outward from the periphery of the lens part and includes a rear end surface on its rear side; a transparent spacer that is disposed behind the lens in the optical axis direction and used for focusing the lens part, the spacer including a front end surface that opposes to the rear of the lens, a spaced-apart part that opposes to the lens part and is spaced apart rearward in the optical axis direction from the lens part, and a bonded peripheral part that extends radially outward from the periphery of the spaced-apart part; and an adhesive that is disposed between the rear end surface of the flange part and the bonded peripheral part and bonds the lens and the spacer.

It is provided a lens unit to be small-sized, while reducing deterioration in optical performance after experiencing thermal expansion. The lens unit includes an aperture member, a lens, an image sensor, and a holder. A range where the aperture member abuts on a flange part of the lens overlaps with a range where the holder abuts on the flange part of the lens. A first gap is provided between a holder inclined surface of the holder and a lens inclined surface of the lens over the entire circumference. A second gap is provided between an outer circumferential surface of the lens and an inner surface of the holder over the entire circumference.

An imaging module includes: an object lens; an image-sensing device; a holder that holds the object lens and the image-sensing device, the holder having a butt-contact portion with which the object lens is able to be brought into contact from an object side; and an aperture stop arranged closer to the object than the butt-contact portion, wherein an area that is to be light-shielded by an outer-periphery of the aperture stop is larger than an internal diameter of the butt-contact portion.

Imaging module and method of manufacturing the same

[Problem] To propose a hybrid lens unit comprising a hybrid lens and a guide component which can be manufactured with a low cost and a method thereof. [Means for Solving the Problems] A method of manufacturing a hybrid lens unit includes the following steps of; (a) preparing a guide component having a through hole, and a plane parallel glass plate formed of optical glass; (b) fixing the plane parallel glass plate to at least one of surface of the guide component so that the plane parallel glass plate is accommodated in the guide component; and then (c) forming a resin lens on at least one of surfaces of the plane parallel glass plate by applying and curing energy-curable resin.

Method of manufacturing hybrid lens unit

A junction type compound lens using glass and resin is used. By properly controlling the difference between refractive indices and the difference between Abbe numbers of the resin and glass, interface reflection that occurs when a ray with a large incidence angle is incident is restricted, and generation of a flare or a ghost image is restricted. Further, by properly controlling the difference in refractive index and the difference in Abbe number, various aberrations, such as spherical aberration, field curvature, and chromatic aberration, which may deteriorate optical performance, can be corrected. Thus, a small and high-performance imaging lens can be provided.
