From analog music information in which the sounds of a plurality of musical instruments are mixed, sound data corresponding to the register of the reproduced sound of a bass guitar and sound data corresponding to the register of the reproduced sound of a drum are extracted using a band-pass filter. A drive pulse with a low frequency is generated within the periods of data sections in which the former sound data reaches a predetermined level or higher, and a drive pulse with a high frequency is generated within the periods of data sections in which the latter sound data reaches a predetermined level or higher. A vibrating body in a vibration mechanism unit is resonated by two drive pulses with frequencies, thereby causing vibration according to the reproduced sound of music.

A chucking device for a magnetic disk that includes a substantially disk-shaped bearing and a drive arm extending in a rear side of a rotor yoke along a circumferential direction and loosely suspended from and held by a rotor yoke on both ends. An inner peripheral surface for restraining movement toward a bearing is formed at the drive arm, and a drive pin loosely passing through a drive pin through hole of the rotor yoke to extend upward and loosely inserted into a drive hole of a magnetic disk is formed at a front part of the drive arm in a rotor yoke rotation direction. When the rotor yoke having the magnetic disk placed thereon is rotated, the inner peripheral surface of the drive arm comes away from the bearing, and the drive pin comes in contact with a front edge and an outside edge of the drive hole.

The inner-rotor motor of the invention includes a rotor having plural magnetic poles disposed circumferentially, and a stator having a stator core with plural magnetic pole teeth facing to the rotor, located outside a circumference of the rotor, which have coils each wound around thereof. In this construction, the stator is placed within a central angel 180&deg; with regard to a rotational center of the rotor, and the coils are set such that the numbers of turns of adjacent coils are unequal, and respective sums of the numbers of turns of the coils in respective phases are equal.

A base of an arm having a driving projection at its tip is rotatably supported on a turn table. The turn table is provided with a first guide part and a second guide part, an outer edge part of the base of the arm and a first guide part are in contact with each other at a contact point, and a projection and a second guide part are in contact with each other at a contact point. While the arm rotates in a counterclockwise direction, the contact points are moved, and it is possible to prevent the center of the driving projection from largely deviating from a reference normal. Thus, even if a hub in which the position of the driving hole is shifted is mounted, the hub is not largely shifted in a rotation direction relative to a turn table.

A head carriage device includes a carriage, a head arm, a flat spring extending from the head arm, a fixing member to fix the flat spring to the carriage, a resilient member to resiliently urge the head arm in a direction in which the head arm moves toward the carriage, a lifting mechanism to pivot the head arm away from and toward the carriage, and a finger to which the lifting mechanism is applied, the finger being provided at one side of the head arm. The head carriage device is provided with a first protrusion and a second protrusion. When the head arm is pivoted away from the carriage, a restricting finger restricts the movement of a free end of the first protrusion away from the carriage, and a restricting face provided on the carriage restricts the movement of a free end of the second protrusion toward the carriage.

A magnetic disk drive includes a body having a chassis formed of a flat plate, and at least a spindle motor and a head carriage that are mounted to the chassis. A bottom cover is mounted to cover the chassis, and a holding mechanism (such as a screw) to hold the chassis and the bottom cover. The holding mechanism is disposed on a support line which extends perpendicular to a line passing through the center of gravity of the body extending in a direction of movement of the head carriage and which is displaced from the center of gravity of the body. The body is rotatable with respect to the bottom cover, with the support line as an axis.

Disclosed is a disk device in which slide pieces slidable along an edge portion of a slide hole formed in a chassis are formed at the central part of both ends of a holder. The forward end of either of the slide pieces has a straight surface formed on the edge portion side; and an inclined portion is formed by obliquely cutting the surface of the edge portion side. When the disk case M inserted reaches a predetermined position, the holder slides within the slide hole of the chassis. In this case, the holder lowers while the inclined portion of the slide piece slides along the edge portion, enabling a decrease in the lowering speed of the holder to thereby reduce the lowering speed of the head descending into contact with the disk D.
