A display body includes a display surface including a plurality of display region groups. Each display region includes at least one reflection surface that is configured to reflect light incident on the display surface toward an area including a corresponding one of reflection directions that are associated with the respective display region groups. Each display region group is configured to form an image unique to the display region group in a corresponding one of the reflection directions through reflection of light on the reflection surfaces in the display region group. The display region groups are configured to form, in two adjacent ones of the reflection directions, different images that have a interrelation between each other.

Display body

A display having high resistance to counterfeiting including a micro concavo-convex structure layer on a predetermined reference surface, the micro concavo-convex structure layer having a plurality of microstructures arranged on the reference surface. Each of the microstructures is formed of a prism structure made of a material that transmits light with a triangular cross-section having a first surface inclined relative to the reference surface in side view, and a second surface having an inclination angle relative to the reference surface such that the inclination angle is larger than an inclination angle of the first surface relative to the reference surface. A color layer as an example of a functional layer is provided on the second surface of all or some of the plurality of microstructures.

Display and method of producing display

A subwavelength grating displaying a colored image exhibiting a color corresponding to a grating period of a subwavelength grating in reflection directions including a specular reflection direction. A relief surface displaying a reflection image in monochromatic reflected light in reflection directions including a direction different from the specular reflection direction. An optical element has a first state in which neither a colored image nor a reflection image is displayed, a second state in which the colored image is mainly displayed, and a third state in which the reflection image is mainly displayed. A plane in which the optical element is disposed and a plane including a line of sight of an observer form an observation angle therebetween. The optical element is observed in any of the first, second and third states according to the observation angle.

A display includes a plurality of pixels arranged in matrix. Each of the pixels includes a single reflecting surface, and all the reflecting surfaces include a set of the reflecting surfaces that allow light incident in a predetermined direction to be reflected in a direction predefined for the respective reflecting surfaces, so that light reflected by all the reflecting surfaces forms an image which appears in a specific direction, which is a direction common to all the reflecting surfaces.

Display

In an optical structure for displaying a stereoscopic frame image on a structure formation surface, a frame motif that displays a frame image in which reflection moves is formed on a structure formation surface, the frame motif is made up of a plurality of perforated reflecting segments, each including one or more first reflecting mirrors having a reflective layer uniformly tilted relative to the structure formation surface, the tilt angle of the first reflecting mirror is different between adjacent perforated reflecting segments so as to gradually change over a plurality of adjacent perforated reflecting segments, and at least one of the plurality of perforated reflecting segments surrounds an opening provided with no first reflecting mirror.

Optical structure

There is provided a versatile optical element applicable both to an electrode layer required in a bank bill field and to an optical element required in an ID field. In an optical element () according to one embodiment of the present invention, a first layer () is arranged on a second layer () having a relief structure on a surface thereof, and a first region () and a second region () are provided. Electromagnetic waves incident at a preset specific angle from a side of the first layer () are totally reflected due to at least one of the relief structure in the first region () and a ratio of a refractive index of the second layer () with respect to a refractive index of the first layer (), the electromagnetic waves incident at the specific angle from the side of the first layer () are not totally reflected but transmitted or refracted due to at least one of the relief structure in the second region () and the ratio of the refractive index of the second layer () with respect to the refractive index of the first layer (), and only in case of observation performed from the specific angle on the first layer () side, the second region () has higher transparency than the first region (), and a preset image is expressed by a transparency contrast therebetween.

Optical element for forgery proof

This invention provides a kit used for fabricating an integrated biomolecule sensor. The kit includes an optical fiber bundle unit, which holds the proximal ends of the plurality of optical fibers together with the end-face arranged substantially in the same plane and oriented substantially in the same direction, a plate with wells for holding solutions containing probe polymers with different base sequences, and an auxiliary plate having holes, which corresponds to the wells of the plate respectively. According to this invention, researchers and other people can easily fabricate the integrated biomolecule under individual requirements without need of expensive equipment.

Kit used for fabricating an integrated biomolecule sensor

An integrated biomolecule sensor comprising a plurality of optical fibers whose proximal ends are held together with the end-faces arranged substantially in the same plane and oriented substantially in the same direction and which have probe polymers with different base sequences bound to the core end-face at their distal ends. The method and apparatus for fabricating the integrated biomolecule sensor, and the method and apparatus for detecting biomolecules using the integrated biomolecule sensor are also disclosed. Researchers can make their own sensors best suited for individual requirements, and detect the presence of target biomolecules quickly, without need of expensive equipment.
