The present invention aims to improve the tape fasteners provided on the diaper chassis so that the upper outside regions of the wearer's thighs should not be irritated by the edges of the tape fasteners. A lower edge of a first section in each tape fastener extends so that a space is defined between this lower edge and an imaginary extension of a lower edge of a second section in the tape fastener.

In a disposable absorbent article such as a disposable diaper including fastener elements by means of which front and rear waist regions are releasably connected with each other, the fastener elements are not affected by contraction of elastic members arranged in these waist regions. In this absorbent article, the front waist region and/or the rear waist region is or are divided into an elasticized intermediate zone provided with the elastic members and inelasticized transversely opposite side edge zones contigious to transversely opposite side edges of the intermediate zone. The fastener elements are provided in the transversely opposite side edge zones.

Process for making disposable absorbent article

A disposable wearing article has longitudinally extending side edges of a front waist region. The side edges are defined by a pair of hydrophobic fibrous nonwoven fabric layers having mutually opposed surfaces tightly bonded to each other. Fastening zones are formed by an adhesive applied on longitudinally extending side edges of the rear waist region. Landing zones are formed from plastic filmstrip tightly bonded to the side edges of the front waist region.

A disposable wearing article includes first and second engagement members attached to the outer surface of a front waist region along transversely opposite side edge portions thereof so as to be spaced from each other by a given dimension in a longitudinal direction and third engagement members attached to in the inner surface of a rear waist region along transversely opposite side edge portions thereof. A disposable wearing article has longitudinally extending side edges of a front waist region. The side edges are defined by a pair of hydrophobic fibrous nonwoven fabric layers having mutually opposed surfaces tightly bonded to each other. Fastening zones are formed by an adhesive applied on longitudinally extending side edges of the rear waist region. Landing zones are formed from plastic film strip tightly bonded to the side edges of the front waist region.

The absorbent article includes a liquid permeable top sheet, a liquid impermeable back sheet, an absorbing core interposed between the two sheets, and an indicator making it possible to visually ascertain that the absorbing core is in the wet state. A disposable wearing article includes a holder member which is composed of a front waist region, a rear waist region and a crotch region and a bodily discharge receiving member. The holder member is formed with a through-hole in the crotch region while the receiving member has a protrusion adapted to be inserted into the through-hole from the outer side of the wearing article and to define a concavity which can receive and retain bodily discharges.

A disposable wearing article includes elastic members interposed between inner and outer sheets and attached in a stretched state to these inner and outer sheets. A base sheet constituting a component of a hook part of a mechanical fastener is oriented to extend across the elastic members and attached to the outer sheet. Of the outer sheet, a region in which the outer sheet is attached to the base sheet and peripheral regions having dimensions m, n as measured from side edges of the base sheet in a width direction of the article are attached neither to the elastic members nor to the inner sheet. The outer sheet is attached to the inner sheet in regions defined outside those peripheral regions.

A wearing article includes a pair of connector sheet strips extending inward from transversely opposite side edges of the wearing article and serving to connect front and rear waist regions. The connector sheet strips can be easily turned around so as to extend outward from the side edges. Each of the connector sheet strips includes a proximal end overlapped and bonded together with an inner surface of a lateral margin of the wearing article and a deformable flap portion extending inward from the proximal end in a transverse direction of the wearing article and provided with a fastener element. The proximal end bows together with the lateral margin so that the proximal end lies on the convex side and the lateral margin lies on the concave side.

Here is disclosed a wearing article made of an elastically stretchable chassis defining a front waist region, a rear waist region and a crotch region. This sheet is composed of a first elastic segment extending, substantially in parallel to peripheral portions destined to form leg-holes, from a transversely middle zone of the crotch region to lateral portions of the front and rear waist regions, and a second elastic segment defined by the remaining portion except for the first elastic segment wherein the first elastic segment has a stretch stress higher than that of the second elastic segment.

Wearing article

A disposable wearing article includes connector sheet strips used to connect front and rear waist regions of the article which respectively includes proximal sections and flap-like sections. The proximal sections are fixed to the rear waist region on its inner surface along zones immediately adjacent to transversely opposite side edges of the rear waist region and the flap-like sections extend from the respective zones to the inside of the article in a circumferential direction. The flap-like sections are formed with folding guide means facilitating the flap-like sections to be folded so that these flap-like sections may extend from the inside toward the outside of the article.

In a disposable wearing article, connector sheet strips for connecting front and rear waist regions of the article have proximal sections and flap-like sections. The proximal sections are fixed to the rear waist region on its inner surface along zones contiguous to transversely opposite side edges of the rear waist region. Flexural rigidity of the flap-like sections as measured in a transverse direction of the article is higher than that of the article as measured in regions lying immediately inside the respective zones which are, in turn, contiguous to the respective side edges, so that a direction in which the connector sheet strips extend can be easily reversed.

A disposable diaper as a disposable wearing article has a front waist region, a rear waist region and a crotch region extending between these two waist regions. The crotch region is formed on its surface facing a wearer's body with a protrusion formed by flexible and elastic foamed plastic prepared separately of an absorbent pad.

A pull-on disposable wearing article has a first waist region and a second waist region. The first waist region is elastically stretch- and contractible in the transverse direction. The second waist region is formed with a pair of finger-grip zones which are non-stretchable in the transverse direction and an elastically stretch- and contractible middle zone. The finger-grip zones respectively have a dimension in a range of 10 to 100 mm as measured in the transverse direction and extend from a peripheral edge of the waist-hole to peripheral edges of the respective leg-holes, along a pair of bonded zones where transversely opposite side edges of the waist regions are bonded together. The middle zone extends between the finger-grip zones is elastically stretch- and contractible in the transverse direction.
