Provided is a litter box for animals in which a suitable amount of excretion treating agent can be determined visually. A litter box for animals is provided with a granule accommodating container that accommodates a plurality of granules. The granule accommodating container is provided with: a container main body, which has a lower surface part and a side wall part standing up from the peripheral edge of the lower surface part; and a protruding part, which has a protruding part lower surface, which sticks out toward the outside from the side wall part on the container main body and is curved at a prescribed angle with respect to the side wall part, and a protruding part side wall. The lower end part of the protruding part lower surface is positioned above the upper end part of the lower surface part.

Animal litter box

Provided is a litter box for animals that is hygienic and easy to clean. A litter box for animals is provided with a lower container, the upper part of which is open and which has a lower bottom surface part and a lower side wall part standing up from the peripheral edge of the lower bottom surface part, and an upper container, the upper part of which is open and which is disposed above the lower container. The upper container is provided with a upper bottom surface part in which a plurality of through holes is formed, an upper wall part standing up from the peripheral edge of the upper bottom surface part, and an extending wall part that extends downward from the outer surface of the upper wall part. The lower end part of the extending wall part is disposed lower than the upper bottom surface part.

Provided is an animal litter that is less liable to scatter and in which the depth of the solids is less liable to increase when a liquid such as urine has been absorbed. An animal litter composed of a plurality of particulates having water absorbency, wherein the particulates contain: long grains having a granularity of 4 mm or more and less than 10 mm, and a length that is greater than the diameter; and short grains having a granularity of 4 mm or more and less than 10 mm, and a length that is no more than the diameter. The long grains are provided with a core part primarily composed of pulp, and a coating layer containing highly water-absorbent resin and used for coating the core part. The weight ratio of the short grains in total of the long grains and the short grains is 10%-50%, inclusive.

Animal litter

A liquid-permeable panel that is of a system toilet for animals and that can prevent urine wetting resulting from torsion or folding over of a pee pad. The liquid-permeable panel covers the excrement containment section of the system toilet for animals. Of the aforementioned panel, the side-surface 1 cm compression deformation load, which is the load necessary for at least 1 cm of torsion to arise with respect to load from the side-surface direction that is perpendicular to the direction of thickness of the panel, is at least 5 N and no greater than 20 N. Preferably, the liquid-permeable panel has a plurality of holes that penetrate the liquid-permeable panel in the direction of thickness, and has as a material corrugated cardboard in which liquid goes through the aforementioned plurality of holes, passing through in the direction of thickness of the aforementioned liquid-permeable panel.

Liquid-permeable panel

A liquid-permeable panel is mounted on a portion of a system toilet for animals, and a 15-degree bending strength defined below the liquid-permeable panel is at least 0.2 N and no greater than 10 N. The 15-degree bending strength is the load that is applied at a velocity of 500 mm/min to the central section of the liquid-permeable panel from the direction perpendicular to a plan view using a round plunger having a diameter of 8 mm, while both sides in the Y-direction in a plan view of the liquid-permeable panel are being supported, that deforms the liquid-permeable panel into the shape of a concavity along the X-direction such that, in a cross section of the concavity, the angle (&#x3b8;) formed by a horizontal line that contains the bottommost point of the concavity and an oblique line linking the aforementioned bottommost point and either of the aforementioned both sides is 15 degrees.

Disclosed is a system toilet for dogs that can reduce wetting of dog feet and that dogs can appropriately use for excretion. The system toilet for dogs is provided with: an excretion receptacle having an excrement containing section that can contain excrement and at which an absorbent sheet can be disposed; and a water-absorbent, disposable, liquid-permeable panel that is disposed in a manner so as to cover the top of the excrement containing section. The thickness of the liquid-permeable panel is 3-25 mm, and the height from the bottom end of the excretion receptacle to the top surface of the liquid-permeable panel is no greater than 65 mm. Also, the system toilet for dogs is further provided with a support section that is disposed between the excrement containing section and the liquid-permeable panel, and that supports the liquid-permeable panel.
