A liquid discharging apparatus has an integrated circuit that controls supply of a driving signal to a first driving element and to a second driving element according to a discharge control signal. The integrated circuit has: a first switch circuit that receives the driving signal and switches between output and non-output of the driving signal to the first driving element; a second switch circuit that receives the driving signal and switches between output and non-output of the driving signal to the second driving element; and a switch control circuit that receives the discharge control signal and controls whether to cause each of the first switch circuit and the second switch circuit to output the driving signal. The switch control circuit controls the first switch circuit and the second switch circuit according to the first data.

Liquid discharging apparatus and integrated circuit device

A liquid discharging apparatus has a switch control circuit that controls whether to cause each of a first switch circuit, a second switch circuit, a third switch circuit, and a fourth switch circuit to output a driving signal. The switch control circuit has a fifth switch circuit, a sixth switch circuit, and a seventh switch circuit. The fifth switch circuit switches between output of the first data to the second switch circuit and output of the second data to the second switch circuit. The sixth switch circuit switches between output of the first data to the third switch circuit and output of the third data to the third switch circuit. The seventh switch circuit switches between output of the first data to the fourth switch circuit and output of the fourth data to the fourth switch circuit.

A print head includes a piezoelectric element that includes a first electrode supplied with a drive signal and a second electrode supplied with a reference voltage signal and is displaced by a difference in electric potential between the first electrode and the second electrode, a cavity that is filled with a liquid ejected from a nozzle along with the displacement of the piezoelectric element, a vibration plate that is disposed between the cavity and the piezoelectric element, a low pass filter circuit that is supplied with the drive signal, a first switch circuit that switches between supplying and not supplying the drive signal to the first electrode, and a second switch circuit that switches between supplying and not supplying the drive signal after passing through the low pass filter circuit to the first electrode.

An input-output interface circuit of the present invention includes an input-output terminal, an input buffer, a first MOS transistor of a first conductivity type formed in a floating well region, an output buffer for outputting a signal externally through the input-output terminal, an electrostatic protection circuit, and a floating well potential adjusting circuit, wherein the electrostatic protection circuit has a first resistance, and a diode connected between another end of the first resistance and a high level power supply potential, and the floating well potential adjusting circuit has a second resistance having one end connected to the input-output terminal, and a second MOS transistor of the first conductivity type having one end connected to another end of the second resistance, another end connected to the floating well region, and a gate connected to the high level power supply potential.

An integrated circuit device includes: an internal circuit; a ground terminal; a first terminal that is provided with a first signal that becomes to be a ground level during at least a portion of a period in which the internal circuit is operating; a detection circuit that compares a voltage on the first terminal and a voltage on the ground terminal, thereby detecting an open state of the ground terminal; and a setting circuit that sets the internal circuit to a reset state or a disabled state when the open state of the ground terminal is detected by the detection circuit.
