At a motherboard for an image device, which is used for manufacturing an image device such as a liquid crystal device, an organic electroluminescence device, a mirror device, and an image-capturing device, a mark for alignment is provided on an outer side of a pixel area in which a plurality of pixels are arranged. In the photo-lithography process, a light exposure mask is arranged by using the mark as a reference position. For the mark, a recessed portion provided in a motherboard main body is filled with a filling film. The recessed portion includes a first groove extending along a first direction and a second groove extending along a second direction intersecting with the first direction, the second groove not intersecting with the first groove in plan view.

Image device and motherboard for image device

A first substrate of an electro-optical device includes: a substrate body provided with a groove; an insulating film layered on the substrate body in a region including the groove; and a layered film layered on the insulating film. The layered film is provided along a side surface and a bottom surface of the groove with the insulating film disposed therebetween.

Electro-optical device and electronic apparatus

In a substrate body of an electro-optical device, a first groove, and a second groove extending in a direction intersecting the first groove are formed. A capacitance element is constituted by a layered film that includes a first conductive film, a dielectric film, and a second conductive film sequentially layered in a region including the first groove and the second groove. When the first groove and the second groove intersect, the intersection becomes wide during etching. However, when the first groove and the second groove do not intersect, such as when the first groove and the second groove are spaced apart, a wide portion is less likely to be generated. Accordingly, the first insulating film easily fills the grooves.

In an element substrate of a liquid crystal device, in a peripheral region interposed between an image display region and a seal material, a peripheral electrode to which a potential is applied for trapping ionic impurities which is different from a common potential applied to a dummy pixel electrode or the like is formed. In the peripheral electrode, an electrode width of a first portion opposing a sealing material provided at a liquid crystal injection opening of the seal material is set to be greater than electrode widths of the other portions.

Liquid crystal device and projection-type display apparatus

In a display region, pixel electrodes are arranged with a predetermined pitch in a matrix. Dummy pixel electrodes provided in a dummy display region surrounding the display region are formed from the same layer as the pixel electrodes, and are arranged in an island shape so as to have the same size and pitch as the pixel electrodes. The dummy pixel electrodes are connected to each other via a wire positioned under the pixel electrodes.

Electro-optical device and electronic equipment

An electrooptic device includes first and second substrates that are disposed opposing each other with an electrooptic material layer therebetween, a sealing material that bonds the first and second substrates, a pixel area, and an ion trap portion between the pixel area and the sealing material. The ion trap portion includes first and second electrodes that are formed in a comb-tooth shape and are disposed so that branch electrodes of the first electrode and branch electrodes of the second electrode are engaged with each other. A direction of the branch electrodes intersects with an orientation direction of the electrooptic material at an interface between the electrooptic material layer and the first substrate.

Electrooptic device and electronic apparatus

In an element substrate of a liquid crystal device, a peripheral electrode to which a potential Vtrap different from a common potential Vcom applied to a dummy pixel electrode and the like is applied is formed in a peripheral region which is interposed by an image display region and a sealing material. The peripheral electrode extends along the sealing material through the outside of the outside end of a data line driving circuit portion, and the outside end of a scanning line driving circuit portion, and does not intersect a data line and a scanning line.

Liquid crystal device and projection-type display device

In an element substrate of a liquid crystal device, a peripheral electrode to which a potential different from a common potential applied to a dummy pixel electrode and the like is applied is formed in a region interposed between an image display region and a sealing material. An electrical supply line that supplies the potential from the side to the peripheral electrode runs through the outside from a scanning line driving circuit portion.

In at least one embodiment of the disclosure, a liquid crystal device comprises a plurality of conductive patterns formed of a conductive film in a peripheral region between an image display region and a sealing member. The conductive patterns are formed at a same layer as a plurality of pixel electrodes. An insulation film is formed on a side facing a counter substrate so as to correspond to the plurality of conductive patterns and a plurality of pixel electrodes. Peripheral electrodes are formed in a region overlapping the plurality of conductive patterns in a plan view on a side on which the counter substrate is located so as to correspond to the insulation film in the peripheral region.

An electro-optical device includes an element substrate having a first signal line; a second signal line extending in a second direction crossing the first signal line; a first field-effect transistor including a first semiconductor layer extending in a direction crossing the second direction; a second field-effect transistor including a second semiconductor layer extending in the direction crossing the second direction; a first pixel electrode is adjacent to a second pixel electrode. The first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer are displaced from each other in the second direction. An end of the first semiconductor layer facing toward the second pixel electrode is closer to the second pixel electrode than an end of the second semiconductor layer facing toward the first pixel electrode.

Electro-optical device, electronic apparatus, and projection display

In a mounting structure in which a component is mounted on a substrate, substrate-side first wirings, substrate-side first terminals formed in a mounting area where the component is mounted on the substrate, substrate-side second terminals formed in the mounting area and substrate-side second wirings are disposed over the substrate. Component-side first terminals and component-side second terminals are provided to the component.
