A liquid ejection head includes an ejection element substrate, an electrical contact portion, a housing, and an opening/closing member. The ejection element substrate ejects liquid to perform recording. The electrical contact portion is electrically connected to an electrical wiring unit of an ejection apparatus to supply power to the ejection element substrate. The housing includes an opening portion into which the electrical wiring unit is inserted and to be provided with the electrical contact portion inside. The opening/closing member opens and closes the opening portion. In a closed state in which the opening/closing member closes the opening portion, the electrical wiring unit is sandwiched between the opening/closing member and a part of the housing.

Liquid ejection head and ejection apparatus

A liquid ejection head and liquid ejection apparatus are capable of suppressing deterioration in image quality without adding a member for heat radiation. In the liquid ejection head that ejects a circulating liquid, an engagement part formed on the discharge port side has an elongated hole shape extending in a direction so as to support a liquid ejection unit support member in such a manner as to allow thermal deformation.

Liquid ejection head and liquid ejection apparatus

A liquid ejection head and a liquid ejection apparatus are designed to suppress separation of ejection modules from a support member. To this end, a liquid supply unit is aligned with respect to the support member to which the ejection modules are bonded. Moreover, in a connection unit of an ejection unit and the liquid supply unit, liquid connection units of the ejection unit are connected to be movable relative to the liquid supply unit.

A liquid ejection head unit is formed by arranging a plurality of recording element substrates in a first direction. Each recording element substrate has an ejection orifice from which a liquid is ejected. The liquid ejection head unit includes rail portions extending in the first direction and a protective member which is detachably fitted on the rail portions. The protective member is movable along the rail portions between a first position and a second position. The first position allows the protective member to cover whole surfaces of the plurality of recording element substrates. The second position allows the plurality of recording element substrates to be exposed so as to allow a liquid to be ejected from the ejection orifices.

Liquid ejection head unit and liquid ejection apparatus

A liquid ejection head unit includes a page-wide type liquid ejection head detachably attached to a liquid ejecting apparatus and a protective member detachably attached to the liquid ejection head. The liquid ejection head includes an ejection port surface on which ejection ports are provided. The liquid ejection head includes a first rail portion, the protective member includes a second rail portion along a longitudinal direction thereof, and the protective member is made to slide in a first direction along the longitudinal direction of the liquid ejection head and cover the ejection port surface. The protective member is attached to the liquid ejection head, and then the liquid ejection head and the protective member are moved in a second direction opposite to the first direction and are removed from the liquid ejecting apparatus.
