An information processing apparatus includes a first controller and a second controller. The first controller is configured to control an operation of the overall information processing apparatus. The second controller is configured to control an operation of a device. When detecting a trigger of resumption from a power saving mode, the second controller notifies the first controller of the detection of the trigger, and starts to initialize a function corresponding to the trigger.

A control system includes: a controller that controls a control unit of a control device, the control unit controlling multiple function units; and a restorer that is capable of receiving a first instruction for restoration from an energy-saving mode from a user who is in a proximate location near the controller, and a second instruction for the restoration from a user who is in a location further away than the proximate location, the restorer altering a timing for restoration of the control unit between a case where there the first instruction is received and a case where the second instruction is received.

A multiprocessor system including at least a first processor and a second processor, includes a storage unit that stores a first program executed by the first processor and a second program executed by the second processor, a memory unit that has a memory region used by the second processor, and a monitoring unit that is connected to the storage unit and the memory unit via a communication line, and, in a case where a program read from the storage unit is the second program, stores the read second program into the memory unit.

A transmission and reception apparatus includes a first communication unit that performs communication by a first communication method, a second communication unit that performs communication by a second communication method which is higher in directivity than the first communication method and is faster than the first communication method, and a control unit that performs control such that storage confirmation information, which indicates whether data has been stored in a storage device provided in a first target machine without an error, is received through the first communication unit after the data is transmitted to the first target machine through the second communication unit, data transmission confirmation is received from the first target machine, and the data is transmitted to a second target machine through the second communication unit.
