A printing device produces a printed matter by using a template including at least one text object each having any one of a plurality of attributes including a first attribute in which text content is freely input and a second attribute in which text content is selectively input from a plurality of character options. The printing device includes a control device configured to execute: acquiring the template from an external device; specifying one target text object; acquiring character data input by voice or text-converted by voice recognition; identifying an attribute of the target text object; and when the attribute is identified as the first attribute, assigning the acquired character data to the target text object as a character string, and when the attribute is identified as the second attribute, assigning a character string included in a character option corresponding to the acquired character data to the target text object.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium stores a communication processing program. When the program is read, a computer of a label producing apparatus executes a reception start step, machine determination step and a transmission start step. In the reception start step, reception of second state information and second performance/attribute information are started. In the machine determination step, it is determined whether any other label producing apparatus superior with respect to a label producing condition is present or not. In the transmission start step, in the case that any other label producing apparatus superior is present, broadcast transmission of the first state information and the first performance/attribute information is disabled. A printing apparatus to print a character in conjunction with a tape cassette is provided. The tape cassette includes a tape and a first memory device to store character data. The printing apparatus includes an attachable section, a second memory device, a controller, and a printer. The controller reads specific character data that satisfies a predetermined condition from the first memory device in the tape cassette, stores the specific character data in the second memory device as in-apparatus stored data, and appoints print-object data being the character data corresponding to an object character, which is the character appointed as a print object, from the in-apparatus stored data in the second memory device. The controller is configured to determine, while the printing device is executing a first printing process which is the printing process for one page with use of the first printing mechanism, whether a first instruction to suspend the first printing process is received, print a page which is being printed when the first instruction is received to an end, and suspend the first printing process thereafter when the first instruction is received, determine whether a second instruction to start a second printing process with use of a second printing mechanism is received after the first printing process is suspended, and execute the second printing process when the second instruction is received.

The disclosure discloses a printer including a controller. The controller executes a first control, a second control and a switching control. In the first control, it is achieved that a first coordinated state wherein a pulse/dot ratio when a pulse motor rotates at a first rotation speed is set to a first ratio. In the second control, it is achieved that a second coordinated state wherein the pulse/dot ratio when the pulse motor rotates at a second rotation speed is set to a second ratio that is smaller than the first ratio.
