The degree of freedom in design is increased while maintaining strength by enabling a decorative member to be disposed without thinning a wheel main body. A wheel is made up of a wheel main bodywhich is made up of a rim portionand a disc portionand which has a vent holein the disc portionand a decorative membermade from a resin which is held in at least the disc portionand is observed from the vent hole. Since the decorative memberis observed in the vent hole, the wheel main bodyincluding spoke portionsdoes not have to be thinned. In addition, since the design of the decorative member is observed in cooperation with the design of the disc portion, the degree of freedom in design is increased.

Vehicle wheel

A high-strength mounting structure is used for attaching a resin article to a body panel. The resin molded article has an elongated main body and a pair of mount ribs formed in several spots intermittently in a longitudinal direction. A protrusion is provided at a distal end of each of the mount ribs. A clip has latch claws for engaging the protrusions of the mount ribs, and a slip-proof lug is located opposite to each latch claw to resist release the latch claws from the protrusions. In addition, the clip has an engagement section engaged with a body panel at a side facing the body panel.

Mounting structure for mounting a resin molded article to a body panel

A damping resin composition contains: 100 parts by weight of a polymer blend of 40 to 70% by weight of a polypropylene resin and 30 to 60% by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer; and 5 to 60 parts by weight of an inorganic filler, the thermoplastic elastomer comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of an elastomer having a Tg of 0&deg; C. to 20&deg; C. and an elastomer having a Tg of &minus;20&deg; C. to 0&deg; C. and an ethylene-&agr;-olefin copolymer. Using this damping resin compostion, a vehicle rocker-panel molding, which is attached to the lower part of a vehicle side body is molded. The rocker-panel molding has a bottom section and a side section substantially perpendicular to the bottom section and having prescribed rigidity, showing a nearly L-shaped crosswise profile, in which the bottom section is thinner than the side section so that vibration energy generated on foreign matter's striking against the rocker-panel molding is forcibly converted to heat energy by the thinner bottom section thereby to suppress transmission of noise to the space of the automobile.

Damping resin composition and molded article using the same

An injection molded colored article produced from colored material prepared by blending a coloring pigment with a synthetic resin. The article has the shape of a long main body section and a thin plate section integrally molded along a side edge of the main body section. A back surface of the main body has a curve formed from an inner end thereof. The thin plate section is formed into a tapered shape, having its thickness decreased toward its outer edge.
