An electro-optical device includes a first sub pixel and a second sub pixel. A pixel is configured by the first sub pixel and the second sub pixel only, and the first sub pixel and the second sub pixel emit light of different colors.

A display device of the invention includes a liquid crystal display panel, an FPC, a box-formed storing case, and an FPC. The liquid crystal display panelis provided with an ITO filmon its front side. The FPCis attached to the liquid crystal display panel, has at least a ground line, and is connected to an external device. The storing caseincludes at least a rear side case (metal case)electrically connected to the ITO film, as well as stores the liquid crystal display panel. The FPCelectrically connects the ground linesof the FPCand the rear side case. With the above-mentioned configuration, a display device can be provided wherein static protection on the front side of the display panel is easily provided.
