Provided is a treatment method and a medical device that can intentionally and locally administer a drug to a lesion area appearing in a narrow blood vessel such as a retinal blood vessel and a spinal blood vessel. The treatment method has an introduction step of introducing a medical elongated body having a drug holder for holding a drug into a living body, an arrangement step of arranging the drug holder at a treatment target inside the living body, and a discharge step of discharging the drug to the treatment target by releasing the drug held by the drug holder.

Drug treatment method and delivery device

A guide wire includes an elongated main body possessing flexibility. The main boy is comprised of a first wire having a core member constituted by a metal material, a second wire having a core member arranged on the proximal side of the first wire and constituted by a metal material, and an optically transmissive member arranged between the first wire and the second wire, and connecting the first and second wires to each other and constituted by a substantially transparent tube shaped body. The optically transmissive member exhibits light permeability such that when light is illuminated from one direction of a lateral side thereof, the light is transmissible to the opposite side through the center axis of the main body.

Guide wire and catheter assembly

A tissue closing device includes an elongate arrangement device of which a distal end portion can penetrate an opening penetrating an living tissue membrane and which has a handling portion on the proximal side, and a clip which is detachably retained at a distal end portion of the arrangement device and which closes the opening. The arrangement device includes a retaining member for detachably retaining the clip and pulling the clip in the proximal direction, a cover tube, and a fixed tube. The handling portion has a first elastic member. When a restriction for maintaining the coil spring in a deformed state is canceled, the thread is moved to the proximal direction by the restoring force of the coil spring in the condition where the clip is locked to a distal end portion of the fixed tube, and the clip is pulled in the axial direction by the thread, whereby a deformation portion is deformed.

Tissue closing device

An organism tissue suturing apparatus for suturing a penetrated hole formed subcutaneously in a tissue membrane of an organism includes a body part having a predetermined length. The body part includes a rotary portion, disposed at a front end thereof, that can be inserted into the tissue of the organism from the hole, a needle member accommodated in a portion, inside the body part, rearward from the rotary position, and a pressing mechanism for advancing the needle member from a side surface of the body part and pressing the needle member into the rotary portion. The rotary portion has a needle member receiving portion for receiving essentially a front end of the needle member pressed into the rotary portion by the pressing mechanism, with the rotary portion disposed in the tissue of the organism. The needle member has a suturing thread of a duct for the suturing thread.

Organism tissue suturing apparatus

A living body tissue closing device includes an elongated body element, a clip (living body tissue closure) for closing a wound hole which penetrates a living body tissue membrane, and a thread. The body element includes a sheath, and elongated feeding and deformation arrangement. The elongated feeding and deformation arrangement includes a covered tube, a pusher tube, a thread anchoring cap, a guide wire, and a stopper. The clip includes a seal portion for covering the wound hole and a peripheral portion of the wound hole from one side of the living body tissue membrane, a deformation portion deformable between a first form in which the deformation portion can pass through the wound hole and a second form in which the deformation portion cooperates with the seal portion to sandwich the living body tissue membrane therebetween, and a fastener portion for retaining the deformation portion in the second form.

Tissue closure and tissue closing device

A living body tissue closing device includes an elongated body element, a clip (living body tissue closure) for closing a wound hole which penetrates a living body tissue membrane, and a thread. The body element includes a sheath, and elongated feeding and deformation arrangement. The elongated feeding and deformation arrangement includes a covered tube, a pusher tube, a thread anchoring cap, a guide wire, and a stopper. The clip includes a seal portion for covering the wound hole and a peripheral portion of the wound hole from one side of the living body tissue membrane, a deformation portion deformable between a first form in which the deformation portion can pass through the wound hole and a second form in which the deformation portion cooperates with the seal portion to sandwich the living body tissue membrane therebetween from the other side, and a fastener portion for retaining the deformation portion in the second form.

A tissue closing device for closing an opening penetrating a tissue membrane in a living body includes a closure configured to close the opening and a device configured to deploy the closure. The closure includes a seal portion and a deformation portion for covering the opening and tissue membrane surrounding the opening from opposite sides, and a connecting portion connecting the seal portion and the deformation portion. The arrangement device includes a storing member for storing the deformation portion and supporting the connecting member, and a hand-operated portion on the proximal side of the storing member. The storing member includes a take-out port which is openable from a closed state. The deformation portion is discharged exterior of the storing member by opening the take-out port.

A tissue closing device includes a closure configured to close a hole penetrating a tissue membrane. The closure has a seal part for covering the hole penetrating the tissue membrane and a peripheral part of the hole from one surface side of the tissue membrane, and a deformable deformation part. The tissue closing device also comprises an arrangement device which removably retains the closure and closes the hole with the closure so as to arrange the closure in a living organism.

A tissue closing device includes an elongate arrangement device of which a distal end portion can penetrate an opening on a wall of living body cavity and which has a hand-operated portion on the proximal side, and a closure detachably retained at the distal end portion of the arrangement device and operative to close the opening. According to one embodiment, the arrangement device can include a thread for detachably retaining the closure and for pulling the closure in the proximal direction, a cover tube, and a fixed tube. The hand-operated portion has a canceling mechanism for canceling the retained state of the closure. A series of operations from deformation of the closure resulting from pulling the closure by the thread to canceling the retained state of the closure by the canceling mechanism after completion of the deformation are performed continuously by operating the hand-operated portion.

A tissue closure includes a body, and a thread includes a knot which is slidable on the thread. The body is composed of a plate-like anchor portion, and a deformation portion having a frame-like shape which can be deformed between a first form in which the deformation portion is elongated in a direction substantially perpendicular to the anchor portion and contracted in a direction substantially parallel to the anchor portion and a second form in which the deformation portion is contracted in a direction substantially perpendicular to the anchor portion and elongated in a direction substantially parallel to the anchor portion. The tissue closure can also include a connecting portion connecting the anchor portion and the deformation portion to each other. In the condition where the deformation portion is in a desired form between the first form and the second form, the condition is maintained by the thread.
