In a vehicle side body structure, when a force that deforms a side door inward in a vehicle width direction acts on the side door, a second engagement section enters a clearance in the vehicle width direction of the side door, a first engagement section and the second engagement section respectively engage with a first engaged section and a second engaged section, and an engagement structure bent with the first engagement section serving as a fulcrum, so as to prevent the side door from flipping up.

Vehicle side body structure

A vehicle roof structure is provided capable of maintaining side collision performance of a vehicle even without a roof reinforcing member. The vehicle roof structure includes an annular frame that is joined to a circumferential edge of a roof panel (which includes an outer panel and an inner panel), and supports the roof panel. The annular frame has a higher rigidity than the roof panel, is arranged in an opening of a roof, and is joined to a pair of roof side rails, a front header, and a rear header.

A vehicle-body structure of a vehicle comprises a front side door provided so as to open and close an opening portion for entrance which is formed by a vehicle-body frame member. The front side door comprises a door panel portion and reinforcement portions provided at a peripheral part of the door panel portion such that at least part of the reinforcement portions overlaps with the vehicle-body frame member in a vehicle side view, the reinforcement portions being configured to reinforce the door panel portion such that when a collision load is inputted to the front side door in a vehicle side collision, a connection state of the door panel portion and the vehicle-body frame member is maintained.

There are provided a vehicle-body frame member forming an opening portion for entrance at a vehicle side part and a front side door provided so as to open and close the opening portion. A side door comprises a door panel portion and a reinforcement portion (a lower-side reinforcement portion and others). The door panel portion is provided to cover an opening portion for entrance and configured such that its peripheral part overlaps with an opening-portion-forming vehicle-body frame member (a side sill and others) in a vehicle side view. The reinforcement portion is provided at the peripheral part of the door panel portion such that it overlaps with the opening-portion-forming vehicle-body frame member in the vehicle side view, thereby reinforcing the peripheral part of the door panel portion against a collision load applied to the side door from a vehicle side. The reinforcement portion is provided at a portion of the peripheral part of the door panel portion which includes a part corresponding to the vehicle-width-direction-extending vehicle-body frame member (a first floor cross member and others).

There are provided a center pillar, a roof side rail connected to an upper end portion of the center pillar and having a closed cross section extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and a synthetic resin-made reinforcing member provided inside the roof side rail at a position near an upper end portion of the center pillar. The roof side rail comprises a roof rail inner having a protrusion portion and a roof rail outer forming the closed cross section together with the roof rail inner. The reinforcing member is provided to have a gap from the roof rail outer and integrally joined to an outward face, in a vehicle width direction, of the roof rail inner which is roughened by an anchor effect.
