A main frame has a pair of left and right main rails that respectively include left and right front portions, left and right middle portions, and left and right rear end portions. One end portion of the left main rail and one end portion of the right main rail are connected to each other, whereby a head pipe is formed. A first coupling member is attached to the left and right front portions with a plurality of the first bolts, so that the front portions are coupled to each other. A second coupling member is attached to the left and right middle portions with a plurality of the second bolts, so that the middle portions are coupled to each other. A third coupling member is attached to the left and right rear portions with a plurality of the third bolts, so that the rear portions are coupled to each other.

Straddled vehicle

A straddled vehicle including a vehicle body frame having a head pipe extending downward and forward, a steering shaft supported by the head pipe to be rotatable left and right, a front fork connected to the steering shaft, a front fender supported by the front fork, a front cover of which a portion is arranged further forward than the head pipe, and a radar supported by the vehicle body frame and arranged further forward than the head pipe. The front cover includes a front end, and a lower edge extending leftward or rightward from the front end in a front view, at least a portion of the lower edge being located at or below the front end. At least a portion of the radar is arranged further downward than the front end of the front cover, further downward than the lower edge, and further upward than the front fender.

A plurality of main frame members that are commonly usable for a plurality of types of straddled vehicles are fabricated. Left and light pivot shaft supporting portions are provided in each main frame member. The left and right pivot shaft supporting portions include left and right hole formable portions in which left and right pivot holes are formable and which have areas larger than an area of a head portion of a pivot shaft, respectively. One of the pivot shaft supporting portions includes a rotation restricting portion that restricts rotation of the head portion of the pivot shaft inserted into the pivot hole. The pivot holes are respectively formed at predetermined positions at pivot shaft supporting portions of each main frame member, and the predetermined positions are different in accordance with a type of a vehicle for which each main frame member is to be used.

Manufacturing method of body frame

A straddle-type vehicle including left and right front wheels effectively prevents deterioration of a travel feeling caused by vibrations occurring in the left and right front wheels. The straddle-type vehicle includes a body frame, left and right front wheels, a link mechanism configured to connect the left and right front wheels with the body frame, a shock absorber configured to damp vibrations in the same phase occurring in the left and right front wheels, and a damper configured to damp vibrations in opposite phases occurring in the left and right front wheels. The damper is configured such that its damping force increases at least in a certain frequency range as the frequency of the vibrations in the opposite phases increases.
