A composition for forming an antistatic film, includes: an oligomer compound of Formula (1A): (where Ris a hydrogen atom or a group of Formula (2), each of Rand Ris independently a hydrogen atom, a group of Formula (3), or a group of Formula (4), at least one of the plurality of Rs is a sulfo group, a and b are positive integers satisfying 2&#x2266;(a+b)&#x2266;6; and each of a plurality of xs is independently an integer from 0 to 4): (where n is an integer satisfying 1&#x2266;n&#x3c;(a+b+4); a, b, a plurality of Rs, and x are the same as those in Formula (1A); and each of a plurality of ys is independently an integer from 0 to 5); and water.

Composition for forming antistatic film and oligomer compound

Disclosed is a charge-transporting material comprising a heteropoly acid compound such as phosphomolybdic acid as a charge-transporting substance. Also disclosed is a charge-transporting varnish comprising the charge-transporting material and an organic solvent, wherein the charge-transporting substance is dissolved in the organic solvent. It becomes possible to provide a charge-transporting material which comprises a substance having high solubility in an organic solvent, charge-transporting properties, and an ability to oxidize hole transport materials, and a charge-transporting varnish comprising the charge-transporting material.

Charge-transporting material and charge-transporting varnish

Provided are charge-transporting varnishes that can form satisfactory thin films and can provide organic EL elements that can exhibit excellent emission efficiency and luminance characteristics when used for EL elements that have a structure on a substrate. The charge-transporting varnishes comprise quinone diimine derivatives represented by general formula (1) that are oligoaniline derivatives or oxides thereof, electron-accepting dopant substances or hole-accepting dopant substances, and at least one kind of silane compound. [In the formula, R, Rand Reach independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, etc. A and B each independently represents a divalent group represented by general formula (2) or (3). (In the formulas, R-Reach independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, etc.) m and n are each independently integers of 1 or greater and satisfy m+n&#x2266;20.]

Charge-transporting varnishes

A charge-transporting varnish comprising a phenylamino-N,N'-diphenylquinonediimine derivative represented by the formula (1) as a charge-transporting substance. It becomes possible to provide a charge-transporting varnish comprising an oxidized oligoaniline, which has a high solubility in various organic solvents and also has a good filtration property because the varnish has no aggregation property. (wherein Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; and Rto Rindependently represent a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an amino group, a silanol group, a thiol group, a carboxyl group, a phosphoric acid group, a phosphate ester group, an ester group, a thioester group, an amide group, a nitro group, a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, an organooxy group, an organoamino group, an organosilyl group, an organothio group, an acyl group, a sulfone group or a halogen atom.)

Charge-transporting varnish

Any of the oligoaniline compounds with a triphenylamine structure represented by the formula (1) exhibits satisfactory light emitting efficiency and brightness performance when used in either an OLED device or a PLED device and is further satisfactory in the solubility in organic solvents so as to be applicable to various coating methods. (each of Rand Rindependently is a hydrogen atom, an optionally substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, t-butoxycarbonyl, etc.; each of Rto Rindependently is a hydrogen atom, hydroxyl, silanol, thiol, carboxyl, a phosphoric group, a phosphoric ester group, ester, thioester, amido, nitro, an optionally substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, etc.; and each of m and n is an integer of 1 or greater provided that they satisfy the relationship m+n &#x2266;20).

Oligoaniline compound

By using a charge-transporting thin film which is made of charge-transporting varnish containing, as an electron-acceptor material, a 1,4-benzodioxane sulfonic acid compound represented by the formula (1) below especially in an OLED device or a PLED device, there can be realized excellent EL device characteristics such as low driving voltage, high luminous efficiency and long life.

Using a charge transporting organic compound made of a polymer whose polymer main chain has a fluorene derivative, which is substituted with an amino group having an aromatic ring or heterocyclic ring, connected thereto at the 9 position thereof, e.g. a compound represented by the following formula (1), in a charge transporting thin film, the resulting organic EL element ensures low voltage drive, a high luminance, a very long life and no imperfections.

An organic electroluminescence device capable of solving the problem of realization of low-voltage driving and high luminance which is important for the prolongation of the life thereof, the organic electroluminescence device comprising a luminous layer composed of a single or a plurality of organic compound thin films interposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, characterized in that at least one layer containing a compound having carbenium ion is arranged therein; and a charge transport material (e.g., hole transport material for the organic electroluminescence device) characterized in that a compound having carbenium ion is contained therein.
