Connector

A lever () is formed with a resiliently deformable lock arm () projecting substantially along a rotating direction of the lever (). A housing () is formed with a base piece () standing in a direction crossing a connecting direction to a mating connector (). An engaging portion () for holding the housing () and the mating connector () in the properly connected state by being resiliently engaged with a leading end part of the lock arm () is formed on a leading end part of the base piece (). A recess () into which a finger () is insertable to disengage the engaging portion () and the lock arm () is formed in a base end part of the base piece ().

Lever-type connector with locking member

A connector housing () includes cavities () into which terminal fittings () are to be inserted, a front wall () capable of stopping the terminal fittings () inserted into the cavities () at front end positions, and resiliently deformable locking lances () cantilever from inner surfaces of the cavities (). Projections () project from a side where the front wall () is located toward a side where the locking lances () are located. The projections () are arranged to contact the locking lances () from an opposite side in a resilient deforming direction of the locking lances () when the locking lances () are about to be deformed excessively.

A connector housing () is formed with a seal tower () projecting backward from the rear surface of the connector housing and adapted to accommodate seals (). A peripheral wall () surrounds the seal tower () and projects back from the rear surface of the connector housing (). A rearwardly open groove-shaped annular recess () is formed between the seal tower () and the peripheral wall () and has a bottom surface () that defines the rear surface of the connector housing. The bottom surface () of the recess () is continuous over the entire circumference, and the peripheral wall () is formed with water drains () that cause the inside of the recess and an outer peripheral side of the peripheral wall to communicate.
