An intake manifold includes a passage wall portion having a first member passage wall portion provided at a first member, a second member passage wall portion provided at a second member, and an inner joint portion including a division point at which an inner joint portion is divided from an outer peripheral joint portion, the inner joint portion at which the first member passage wall portion and the second member passage wall portion are joined with each other. At least a part of the inner joint portion except for the division point is arranged at a height position closer to a middle part of a gas passage than the division point in a first direction in which the first member and the second member are opposed with each other.

Intake manifold

An air intake apparatus includes an air intake apparatus body including an intake passage and a detection bore, a sensor holding portion holding a sensor, a pipe member constituted by an elastic member and including a first end and a second end, the first end being connected to the detection bore and the second end being connected to the sensor holding portion, the sensor holding portion including a fitting portion which includes an inner peripheral portion contactable with an outer peripheral portion of the second end, the sensor and the pipe member being fixed to the sensor holding portion by a contact of the outer peripheral portion of the second end with the inner peripheral portion of the fitting portion in a state where an insertion portion of the sensor is inserted to be positioned within the second end of the pipe member to widen the second end.

Air intake apparatus

This air intake apparatus includes an air intake apparatus main body including a plurality of pieces bonded to each other along a split plane and an external gas passage formed inside the air intake apparatus main body by bonding the plurality of pieces to each other and including an external gas receiving port that directly receives external gas from a cylinder head and an external gas introduction port that introduces the external gas into a surge tank.

The air intake system includes a first piece, an intermediate piece constituting a surge tank and joined to the first piece, and a second piece including an air intake passage upstream portion in communication with the surge tank, the second piece being joined to the intermediate piece. The first piece and the intermediate piece constitute an air intake passage downstream portion in communication with the air intake passage upstream portion. The second piece further includes a flange portion that connects the air intake passage downstream portion and an air intake port of an internal combustion engine.

An intake manifold includes plural intake pipes, a distribution portion connecting to the plural intake pipes and guiding fluid at an inside of the distribution portion to the plural intake pipes and a first protruding portion providing at least a same number of the plural intake pipes at the inside of the distribution portion, the first protruding portion being directed to the corresponding intake pipes.

Provided are an arrangement capable of reliably preventing freeze of a PCV channel without requiring additional piping and an intake manifold having this arrangement. This arrangement for freeze prevention of a PCV channel includes a PCV channel returning blowby gas containing un-combusted fuel gas as a main component thereof and leaked into an engine to an intake port, an EGR channel returning exhaust gas exhausted from the engine to the intake port, and a heating portion as a common portion between a PCV outer wall of the PCV channel and an EGR outer wall of the EGR channel.

Freeze prevention arrangement for PCV channel and intake manifold

An intake manifold capable of discharging oil or water in a liquid reservoir in a stable manner includes an introduction section for introducing air to a combustion chamber of an engine, a liquid reservoir provided under the introduction section for retaining a liquid medium, a differential pressure tank including a first chamber, a second chamber, and a differential pressure valve for regulating flow from the second chamber to the first chamber, a return passage for allowing the liquid medium accumulated in the liquid reservoir to return to the first chamber from the liquid reservoir when the pressure in the second chamber is higher than the pressure in the first chamber, and an exhaust passage for discharging the liquid medium having flown into the second chamber from the first chamber to the instruction section when the pressure in the second chamber is lower than the pressure in the first chamber.
