In a motor unit, a power converter is provided to an outer circumferential surface of a motor case at a position distant from an outer top portion in a circumferential direction. In a power converter, a power module and a control board are accommodated in an internal space of a device case. A power converter is provided with a device cooler. A device cooling portion has a device cooling passage extending along a power module. A first end, which is an upper end of the device cooling passage, is provide to an upper space inside the device housing. In the device cooling passage, a device inlet, into which coolant flows, and a device outlet, from which coolant flows out, are provided side by side in an axial direction.

Rotary electric machine unit

In a motor unit, a power converter is provided to an outer circumferential surface of a motor case at a position distant from an outer top portion in a circumferential direction. In a power converter, a power module and a control board are accommodated in an internal space of a device case. A power converter is provided with a device cooler. A device cooler has a device cooling passage extending along a power module. In the device cooling passage, a device inlet, into which coolant flows, and a device outlet, from which coolant flows out, are provided side by side in a circumferential direction. The device inlet is located a position lower than the device outlet in the Y direction.

Disclosed is a control apparatus for an electric power generation system. The electric power generation system is configured to generate electric power and thereby charge a secondary battery that is an electric power source of a motor included in an electric drive system. The electric drive system further includes an inverter circuit for driving the motor and a power transmission unit for transmitting electric power from the secondary battery to the inverter circuit. The control apparatus includes a temperature acquisition unit and a power generation control unit. The temperature acquisition unit is configured to acquire a temperature of the power transmission unit. The power generation control unit is configured to control the electric power generation system to generate electric power and thereby charge the secondary battery when the temperature of the power transmission unit acquired by the temperature acquisition unit is higher than or equal to a predetermined threshold temperature.

Control apparatus for electric power generation system

Disclosed is a cooling system for cooling an electric drive system. The electric drive system includes a motor and an inverter configured to drive the motor. The cooling system includes a first cooler, a second cooler, a circulating flow passage and a pump. The first cooler is configured to cool the motor by heat exchange using a coolant flowing through the first cooler. The second cooler is configured to cool the inverter by heat exchange using the coolant flowing through the second cooler. The circulating flow passage passes through both the first and second coolers, and the coolant circulates in the circulating flow passage. The pump is arranged in the circulating flow passage to pump the coolant.

Cooling system

In a power converter, each of a positive busbar and a negative busbar includes a first current path that has a first thermal resistance and is a current flow path between a power-source connection terminal and at least one terminal connection portion, and a second current path that has a second thermal resistance and is a current flow path between the power-source connection terminal and an element connection portion. The first thermal resistance of the first current path of at least one of the positive busbar and the negative busbar is lower than the second thermal resistance of the second current path of the at least one of the positive busbar and the negative busbar.

Power converter for suppressing heat transfer to electrical component

A control device is provided which controls an electric drive system, which has a motor that rotates a rotor blade and an inverter circuit that has a switching element and controls the motor and which is installed in a flying body. The control device includes an abnormality occurrence detection unit that detects occurrence of a predetermined abnormality accompanied with an abnormality of temperature of the switching element, and a switching element control unit that controls, when the occurrence of the predetermined abnormality is detected, the switching element so as to reduce loss in the switching element.

An electric power conversion device includes: a cooler that includes a flow path through which a refrigerant flows, a first surface, and a second surface opposite to the first surface in a thickness direction; and multiple power modules that include a semiconductor device configuring an upper-lower arm circuit, and a capacitor connected to the upper-lower arm circuit in parallel. Capacitor device
