An object of the present invention is to achieve favorable sealability by a simple and low-cost structure using an O-ring. A sealing structure according to the present invention is provided with: a first sealing surface formed in an annular shape on a first container structural member configuring a housing (container); a second sealing surface overlaid on the first sealing surface, formed in annular shape on a second container structural member configuring the housing; a plurality of concentric O-ring grooves formed on at least one of the first sealing surface and second sealing surface; and a plurality of O-rings fitted into the plurality of O-ring grooves. The filling ratio of the O-ring in the O-ring groove positioned on an outer side of the housing is larger than the filling ratio of the O-ring in the O-ring groove positioned on an inner side of the housing.

A scroll compressor is provided that can reliably prevent a situation in which a product whose performance is degraded due to misassembly of a tip seal is shipped. In the scroll compressor, tip seals of different lengths are embedded in tip surfaces of a fixed spiral wrap of a fixed scroll and an orbiting spiral wrap of an orbiting scroll. Among the tip seals, thicknesses of the shorter tip seals are made thicker than thicknesses of the longer tip seals, and depths of seal grooves in which the tip seals are embedded, respectively, are formed to different depths in correspondence with the thicknesses of the respective tip seals.

A moment force about the drive central axis acting on the turning scroll is reduced during revolving, and an alternating force acting on an autorotation preventing pin in the turning scroll is reduced to an allowable level.

A scroll compressor includes an orbiting scroll engaged with a front case by pins and rings or ring holes to prevent rotation of the orbiting scroll. The rings or the ring holes have such an inside diameter that an orbiting radius defined by the pins and the rings or the ring holes is larger than a theoretical orbiting radius defined by engagement between gear surfaces of a fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll. The pins, the rings, or the ring holes are shifted in such a direction as to relieve twisting of the orbiting scroll relative to the fixed scroll.

There is provided a scroll compressor in which reliability and durability is increased by preventing peeling of a coating layer applied to a thrust plate, to maintain a desired level of lubrication for a long period of time.
