A printing device includes: a device case having a front aperture; a first hinge disposed in the device case; and a front cover that is disposed in the first hinge and that exposes or hides the front aperture. The first hinge includes: a joint member; a first rotation shaft that joins the front cover to the joint member; and a second rotation shaft that joins the device case to the joint member. When the front cover hides the front aperture, the joint member covers a gap between the device case and the front cover inside the device case.

A switch coverhas a frame memberand a cover member. The frame memberis fastened to the case frontof a printerand surrounds a power switch. The cover memberis supported by the frame memberpivotably between a closed positionA covering the openinginside the frame memberand shielding the power switchso the power switchis inoperable, and an open positionB where the openingis open and the power switchis not shielded. By simply fastening the switch coverto the case frontwith the frame membersurrounding the power switch, the cover membercan cover and prevent operating the power switch. Accidental operation of the power switch of electronic devices, including products such as printers, can therefore be prevented.

An AC adapter unit has an AC adapter that includes an AC adapter block and a DC cable, and a storage tray that stores the AC-adapter. The connector-side cable part of the DC cable is stored in the storage tray on-the left-side part of the AC adapter block. The connector-side cable part has a bundled-part with a figure-8 shape when seen from the top opening side of the storage tray. The-long axis of this bundled part is parallel to the long axis of the AC adapter block.

A recording device has a recording unit that records on a recording medium, a transportation unit that conveys and discharges from an discharge opening the recording medium recorded by the recording unit, a cutting unit that cuts the recording medium recorded by the recording unit at a predetermined position on the transportation path of the transportation unit, and a control unit that causes a ticket to be output by causing the recording unit to record on the recording medium while causing the transportation unit to convey the recording medium only a specified ticket length and causing the cutting unit to cut. When a next ticket is not output after a ticket is output, the control unit causes the output ticket to be recorded and conveyed the specified ticket length, advanced a preset additional transportation distance, and then cut by the cutting unit.

There is provided a board module to be mounted on an electronic apparatus for adding functions to the electronic apparatus. A second board extends perpendicularly from a first board. The second board is locked to the first board at an abutting end which abuts on the first board. A plate-shaped board fixing member pinches and fixes a fixed end of the second board, which is parallel to the abutting end. The board fixing member is arranged parallel to the first board. The board fixing member is formed with a slit-shaped opening into which the fixed end is inserted, a pair of pinching projections protruding from an opening edge of the opening and pinching the fixed end from both front and rear surfaces of the second board, and a pair of slits being located adjacent to the pair of pinching projections, respectively and being parallel to the opening.

The AC adapter unithas an AC adapterthat includes an AC adapter blockand a DC cable, and a storage traythat stores the AC adapter. The connector-side cable partof the DC cableis stored in the storage trayon the left-side partD of the AC adapter block. The connector-side cable parthas a bundled partwith a figure-shape when seen from the top openingside of the storage tray. The long axis of this bundled partis parallel to the long axis of the AC adapter block. Because the DC cablehas a figure-shaped bundled part, the part that runs parallel to electronic circuit boards inside the AC adapter blockis reduced and amplification of radiation noise is reduced.
